If that's the case, then Richmond have to offer him more $$$. This guy is a gem and with the new facilities, Athletes' Performance will make our players even stronger, fitter than ever before. He also gives us a better chance of snatching Dangerfield, who I regard very highly.

Exactly my first thoughts as well BUT you cant pay him more than you pay your full time coach was the reply !

I'm in the middle of moving house so coin is a bit thin. But looking in my wallet I have $3.25. Maybe we could all pitch in and help get Craig ourselves if money is what he's after. I'll even promise to chauffeur him around in my '01 Magna... c'mon, it's a Solara!

We have made our offer & its a good offer, but brissie's pays more
Doesnt mean that he is after just the cash but its there and part of the 'thinking process'

Our advantage is we are a BIG club and the associated advantages

If money was an issue he would have signed with Brisbane by now, from what you hear about him from Adelaide people he isn't the type that would sign on with the highest bidder. Job satisfaction would need to come into consideration and from an outsiders POV seeing all the departures every year working with crazy Vossy doesn't look all that appealing.

If money was all he was after then brisbane would be welcome to him.

My impression of craig is that the difference in pay check would really only come into play if he couldn't decide between the two otherwise ( assuming we have offered a pretty decent contract.)

All good. Was in jest. He would have gone somewhere already if that were the case anyway. He seems like the kind of bloke who will wait until after the grand final to make a call. With all the crap off field in the past couple weeks sometimes I forget there are still 4 teams left in the comp.

All good news

Sanderson brings us one step closer.

I'd be disappointed in Craig if he declined. Don't offer him another cent.

I do hope he would decide in the next week. By this Friday would be best

Could not agree more.

Now surely if it was only between us and Brisbane. Then Richmond would be the better of the two for different reasons. Craig Buddy Hurry up already ;)

Lets not forget the Tambling trade last year.
Shifty one that Neil Craig

yeah he followed the proven formula. You recruit a tiger you are out the next year. Grant Thomas started it, Ross Lyon used it to his advantage too. He didnt get it right the first time, Patto so he went for another dip with Polo and the rest is history. The aints board had to thrash out stuff, in the meantime he had his excuse.

If you look at it, it's quite uncanny how it works:
Sarge to Port, Choco out year later
Polo to the aints Lyon out
Fiora to the aints Thomas toast
Bling to the crows..thanks for the service Neil. ;)

If it was a 91 magna then he would probbaly say yes but 2001....too new

Hmm how does that fit in with the timeline of Rodney departing? I can't remember.

By the way, are we still paying his salary?  :p

probably..back in those days the brains trust was tearing it up...probably sewing the seeds so they could come back as the "messiahs" because the present brains trust were still busting their arses paying for them. ;)

Ahh yes the irrelevant part of the season :D

It's a Solara but.. c'mon, electric windows has to be an attractive gimmick :p

Mate, I took a week off work two weeks ago and copped so much flak from the blokes at work since it was the first week of the finals haha. "Typical Tiger... you wouldn't even know what happens after round 22 would ya?!?!" :D

Haha didnt Mick Molloy get last week off from Before the Game? It didnt used to be funny coz there was no light at the end of the tunnel but now there is quality in our youth and know we will be up there soon so can laugh it off now.

haha yep. He had a couple weeks off the Hot Breakfast on Triple M too. Still, one of my favourite Molloy exchanges on Before the Game was with Hughes a couple years back:

Hughes: we'll be back with all the finals info after this.
Molloy: what's that?
Hughes: it's what happens after round 22.
Molloy: how long has this been going on for?

Caro and Greg Denham say this am that West Coast has offered a "lucrative" role to Craig, but his preference is to move to Melbourne - the city. West Coast meeting him this week

"Melbourne appears in the box seat to win Craig's services". I think she means the club

Hurrumph!!!!!
