Very interesting situation "about to unfold" with Neil Craig;

1. Melbourne as a club is not travelling or been run well. *This will be on the forefront of NC mind. Not sure the position they are offering NC suits either? 5/10.
3. Richmond now (finally, thanks to Brendan Gale) is run well, has raised its image, address finances, has the best facilities in the AFL (possible the world), a great list. *It was mentioned our presentation was superb; 7/10.

Richmond is making no sound, but all the right & calculated moves!
Beware the Tiger in the knee high grass.:thumbsu:

Wowee. How could he contemplate anyone other than the Tiges ?

I hope Craig ends up at Richmond. We've appointed Misson as our fitness/sports science manager (plus his right hand man) and outside of Buttifant there's none more highly regarded in the industry. This is also Craig's background.

Craig will be on heavy coin and I don't see him being a must at the Dees. I hope he looks elsewhere.

Yes Brisbane ,Melbourne, Richmond & maybe now Carlton interested, forget WCoast.

2. Brisbane, well not sure he really wants to go to Brisbane; Word is he prefers Victoria; 3/10.

4.KB announced that Carltank would outbid anyone , in a bid to get thier man. Not sure if it was gamesmanship or not however Swan (on SEN) yesterday said they did not require a "person" to overlook thier coaching;
Hmmmm, we are talking Carlton... I do not think anyone believes anything that comes out of a Carltank MOUTH.. 6/10.

I have mentioned on thir forum before; I honestly believe the following has occured:

Neil Craig has given Richmond asurance , may have even signed however;

To get the best press coverage, great exposure, this appointment will be made several days after the GF. By an announcement been made now, it will all be washed up with the brownlow & GF.

*This will also be looked at as a flatform to get (marketing) membership's up & runing for the season 2012...

The reason nothing has happened is because Craig is shopping himself around the entire industry, creating a bidding duel.
I'm sure he's ok but the pump up is starting to get very annoying. When did he become a genius? Before he coached the Crows? If so, let's find someone equally talented out of the sports science industry at a quarter the price.
I'm sorry, but there's a real herd mentality built up over this bloke and imo his coaching record does not justify it.

Good on him. If there is demand for his services he should be encouraging a bidding war.

I know my wife would kick my ass if I took half the money I could just because I like the jumper and the club song.

It's a professional environment, and these guys have a shelf life. No issue with none of them trying to maximize their return.

For what its worth, Mike Sheehan on 3AW today stated that Melbourne is in the box seat

.

Is this a statement and if so where does it come from, or is it just more conjecture?

Given his connections to the dees, I'm guessing that is his source, so I'm nit completely sold.

Media have had no idea on any coaching moves for the past two weeks. Don't think any of them have any clue where Craig will go.

His manager is creating all this bullshit. It'll be good to get him but if we don't I'm not really that arsed to be honest.

Believe me the Dee's are well and truly into him and are doing everything possible to get him to come to them.

Something very Hird/Thomson about the way they are going about it, looks like they are trying to keep up with the jones's

Some of you people seem desperate to land him and I'm not sure why.

I hope he doesn't choose the Dees.

despite not winning a flag, he did manage to put a list together that contested 4-5 final series in a row and finshed up with a win/loss record ~60%..that coupled with his formal qualification in sports science that first came to bare in the Mal blight premiership years would suggest he would have a wee bit more positive influence around the place than joe the goose aka, Brian royal:p...but hey maybe we're a little crazy

So you said didn't you get the responses you were hopping for the first time?
lol obviously not. Also, lol at Melbourne for sacking an in-experienced coach to hire an experienced one and getting Mark Neeld. lol wut? Mark Neeld coaching career P 0 W 0 L 0. Would guess that no experienced coach wanted to be at that rabble.
