A recently retired West Coast player told me during the Nesbitt era that the embrago was real (at least from West Coast's perspective), and it's the reason why West Coast tried to make it difficult for Jayme Graham to head to Freo. Apparently West Coast don't want Freo to be an option for players leaving so essentially if players leave, they need to move interstate. Not sure if it's changed under the new regime

That’s absolutely wild if true. How petty by them.

Goes to show the rivalry hatred is a one way street on their behalf, don't want their players heading to us.

They were annoyed when we had LeCras briefly as a assistant too.

Nah, Bell has definitely played silly buggers on a few things since then. It goes both ways

Probably waiting until after Freos season ends, you’d think we would find out this week his intentions.

I would have thought the delay was to see what actually happened with role and game time the last month of the season. Which really is the sensible thing for him to have done.

If he hadn't started or been dropped you imagine that would have been curtains for his time at Freo.

Will be a bit harder now he's definitely starting 22, unless he's getting huge money offers.

I just can’t see him leaving, he was good last night so had a spot in the team and a WA boy.

The bulldogs made no sense to begin with given how stacked their midfield is.

Saturday showed he's well ahead of O'Meara and O'Driscoll in the pecking order.
