Neil Peart, Rush Drummer Who Set a New Standard for Rock Virtuosity, Dead at 67

Neil Peart, the Hall of Fame drummer for Rush, has died at age 67 of brain cancer.

My drumming hero,I used to have the wind chimes and temple blocks on my drumkit and still have my old Tama kit with 2 24 inch kick drums albeit rusty.

R.I.P Neil “the professor” Peart.

Used to play in a band called Prelude with Kiwi “Storm” on bass who moved over to the UK and George Larin who is now playing guitar for metal band Nothing Sacred,we used to jam at the old Allan Eaton sound studios in Inkerman St. ,St Kilda jamming on Rush ,Zep and Purple songs,we played Xanadu and Limelight live.

Cherish those times.

Rush will always be a massive part of my life,Rush and Richmond!! for life!!!

My all time favourite drummer in one of my all time favourite bands very sad to hear he has died.

Was lucky enough to see him live several times and will cherish those memories forever.
