I honestly think NEON LEON will hold his spot this week. Myself and alot of other Collingwood supporters believe he going to explode. I really think beams could get dropped and Goldsack brought in. Our forward line will still be potent enough, and Goldie to run with Doggard. If Doggard goes forward, goldie picks him up, and swing Harry into the forward line.

Beams won't be dropped has been in our top 10 players of the year.

Leon won't play, he is not ready to explode he has a poor finals history and has struggled all year. It's sad for him because I think had he been fit in last years finals series it was his year. Now he is out of form, lacking confidence, seems to be lacking a yard of pace and carrying the demons. It's not going to happen for poor old Leon, cut the losses here I think.

Yeah and if Dick was fit we wouldn't be having these issues

**** we probably would have won already

Dick would have been perfect for Saturday. He would have kicked 3 or 4 no doubt.

Brad Dick would play better than leon even with his busted shoulder

That's what I said on Saturday.

Why couldn't we just jab Brad, strap his shoulder down by his side, and get him out there?

Would do far more than Leon even in that state.

Sadly Leon is not mentally up to it. Has the skills etc but when the pressure goes on he just can't perform. He is now 30 and is not going to change.

Leon has lost his agility and ability to recover from contests, he wont play this weekend im sure of it.

Bring in the sack!

Leon needs to be dropped. He may be ready to explode, I doubt it though, but how many chances can we give him. He has had his chance and he has not been up to it. Dissapointing as i would prefer to have Leon in full flight and part of this weeks premiership team but we can't risk it IMO.

I would rather lose the game on Sunday without Leon in the team and everyone giving it a red hot crack rather then lose with Leon and see Leon fail again. You can just imagine the flack the club,MM, will cop because we lost by less then a kick and went in unchanged and Leon did SFA again.

Goldy deserves a run again, I still think he should have played and not Leon last week and just maybe we may not have had this dilema.

I know Leon kicked a goal which was crucial but if Goldsack was in the team and maybe just once hindered Goddard's influence on the game last weekend then maybe we wouldnt be pondering who to play this week.

I can think of at the very least 2 contested marks that Goddard took in the last qtr which really cost us an early premiership.

Anyway, we need to finish the job we started months/years ago and bring home the cup.

LIFT GUYS.....Time to bleed and put your heads down, numbers at the contest and don't be pressured into bombing it into the 50 as guys like Fisher, Gwilt, Goddard, Dawson and Gilbert will be there. Use Poise, look for the best option going back to move forward. Numbers with the ball carrier and use the best option. Work for each other and don't leave your mate.

Let's fckn bring this home this weekend and shut the rest of teh football community up.

THIS IS OUR YEAR!

has someone strapped a bomb to him?

i'll say one thing in his favour, he could have got paid the push in the back after he goaled and been the hero. He also kicked a goal that was worth its weight in gold cause we hadn't fired one for about 3 centuries.

I'm pumped! 87 Grand Finals! Surely we will win 1 of them!

Its pretty simple really.
One of the leagues most dangerous fowards has had to develop a defensive focus to survive in the game - and done so well that he leads the league for defensive pressure with highest inside 50 tackles.

When your KPI has changed from goals and scoring assists to tackles its very easy to see why the "Mercurial Leon" we love has gone missing.

I would not drop him - his great goal showed he's still got it.
BUT - I would set him free in the 2nd half and tell him to focus on attack not defense - then we may see something special.

We looked better with Didak playing Leon's role. There is also something to be said for leaving him in the side. My head and heart are in conflict over this one, though I am probably more inclined to drop him and push others up the field.

The only place Leon will explode is off the Collingwood list...
gone and be done with him. can not have anymore passengers.

but sadly MM loves him and he may keep his spot

At least he'd get a medal if we do win.

A medal for doing nothing. That sounds pretty sweeeeet!

I'm starting to go Goldsack in for Davis.

It's sad, I know Davis is an X factor that we actually did need in the draw, but I think we need players who can run all day, give us good rotations and Blair and Beams give more of that than Leon.

If we are smart about our forward entries, we should see many more entries on the run by hand, rather than from a long distance by foot.

These entries by hand, combined with frontal pressure and shepherds will provide Blair and Beams opportunities to hit the scoreboard that were not there in the draw.

Get running boys, and supporters pray for an overcast but not rainy day.
