Finally, a politician with common sense.

The WA premier has come out and said that the rule regarding Umpire contact needs to be reviewed to come into context with the pace of todays game.

Can someone tell me how no one at the AFL can see that this has to happen. Even a politician can see theres a problem with the law.
 
He's just trying to win some votes for then you lot have your next election!

Nope, the new premier is Geoff Gallop. He had his political celebration party in the Lathlain Park clubrooms - home of the WAFL club Perth.

The WA election was 1 week prior to the Queensland election.

Politicians should keep their noses out of sport, they make enough mistakes in running this country, do you want them to stuff up sport as well. (By the way I voted for Gallop so this isn't against him, it is against all politicians).
Also, the only reason he made this comment was because a WA player was involved, I didn't hear him saying anything when it happened to Curly.:rolleyes:
 
Curley is 100% born and bred right here in the west. He played for West Perth in the WAFL league and his brother Adam, currently plays for the Falcons also :)
