New #7

If #3 goes I would be suicidal.

I'd not only be suicidal, I'd be haunting him from beyond the grave for the rest of his playing days ;)

Don't go Murph!!!

Exactly, unless asked to relinquish a number for a reason. I can't understand why a player would want to change.

Make the number yours :)

+1:thumbsu:

Can't understand changing numbers unless the club specifically requests it. It doesn't change your ability to play so why bother?

At the end of the day, players should be playing for the jumper, and not the number - with no disrespect to the #7...

Higher vs lower numbers are somewhat of the past these days, and I'm sure the #7 will be pasted to someone worthy.

Jimmy Buckley and the Dominator got up to a heap of trouble off the field in their day and were good mates. I think young Buckley would love to wear his dads mates number if on offer.

Im pretty sure there was an article in the paper a while back that said Carlton offered Buckley his dads old number and he turned it down saying he wanted to create his own name.

While I think that Dylan would be proud to wear his fathers old number and go on to represent the club well in #16. I seriously think that he would go just as well in any other number and would make his own legend.

I think that the club will have either #7 for him or #20. Both of them are unoccupied now.

This is what i was referring to

Please note - The Carlton Football Club had offered to keep the number 16 guernsey on hold in anticipation of drafting Dylan Buckley, however Dylan advised the Club that he wished to forge his own history with Carlton and requested that another number be allocated to him.
