Well you had a fairly abusive attack on Telstra regarding their deals and that suggests you feel they are unjustified.

In regards to all the facts and figures, I don't know them off the top of my head and it'd take a fair effort to find them

I'd rather just drop the issue as I don't have time nor desire to get into the nitty gritty

Just indicative on how the organisation goes about business really. You know, bad webhosting (refer this thread), uncompetitive deals and despite 66% of shareholders voting against the massive pile of cash they want to throw towards their executives they ignore them and do it anyway.

Facts and figures are overated. Just stay with the vibe mate.

Yeah no doubt.

I'm no fan of most of their actions. Much of it borders on ridiculous and arrogant

I just feel that despite the fact it has enabled smaller ISP's to be competitive, the restrictions placed on Telstra don't allow them the ability to be genuinely competitive.

I guess this is one facet where we'll have to agree to disagree

I'm surprised you blokes didn't complain more about GDL today. The feed fell about 10 minutes behind the live action after about 20 minutes, and then fell 20 minutes behind, then stopped completely for another 20 minutes. It was only halfway through the last quarter that it finally caught up. I know they're not used to sending stats through from Dubai, but it was a poor result.

As for the new features on GDL, it's about time they put DT numbers on it. However, they shot themselves in the foot because the link from the AFL site opened up a window with no scrollbar, so depending on how big your screen was you couldn't even see 10-30% of the Flash application. Then there's the problem that the team stat lists are hard-coded at 22 players, which meant there were 4 players per side in the extended NAB Cup teams whose stats you had no way of seeing, because again there is no scroll bar for the stats table inside the Flash app. Pretty basic stuff. Perhaps it was designed by Michael Bay and that mob in the Commonwealth bank ad. :D

Having said all that, it's better than what they served up at this time last year. ;)

What do you guys think of the new Game Day Live??

Looks slightly different, but provides the same information.
No real improvement that I can see.

And they didn't allow for Super Goals.
So the running score ended up 124 for the Crows, when they actually finished with 136.

To be honest I only noticed it at 12.30 last night, so I wasn't using it while the game was on.

The layout is much better then last year.............No need to scroll down to see the stats for the last 4 players on each team. The DreamTeam scores are a nice touch.

Plus they have a HTML version.

Also do you think the PTS column are SuperCoach points???

No need to have a full team list? Are you kidding? It's unprofessional. As is having the wrong score by not accounting for supergoals, as Mero said.

The PTS column is "Ranking points" using Champion Data's system, which doubles as SuperCoach points.

They've added a scrollbar for the team lists, which is good... but they haven't turned the stats on for the first quarter of the Saints/TIgers game, which is... bad.

It would be nice if they added a little clock in the HTML version.

There's no way to tell how far through a quarter the game is.

No radio for the Dogs Roos game? Gonna cry :( Stayed up till 3am in Canada and there's no damn coverage :(

Dogs by 11, 8 mins to go.

They seem to be attempting to redesign the AFL site... but there's something going majorly wrong right now:

Oh no. It looks fine on Internet Explorer. Don't tell me what I just posted is what Firefox users can expect all year...
