I have been in Brazil for 7 weeks and was disgusted with the slowness of the AFL website.Although we had broadband,the speed of the site was pathetic.I got all of my updates on Fox sports.
That site is obviously built for the super fast internet that most in Australia and in lesser Countries don't have

I emailed Champion Data, they said they supply all the stats to the AFL website, they're just not using (or displaying) them.

Why don't they make the SuperCoach stats visible??

My guess would be because they dont want people playing Super Coach, making it harder to get the stats might deter people. It makes sense as why would the AFL want to promote another websites fantasy game?
From what m0nty said on his site, I would assume the Herald Sun want people to have to read the paper to get it (or their site, what ever).

Yeah, but even if the SuperCoach scores were visible on fanfooty.com.au or the GameDayLive, I'm still going to access the site on Monday morning.
I don't know one person that waits to see each players total in the paper.
I just reckon its stupid. Everyone other Fantasy League I'm in has live updates. Can't see why AFL, HeraldSun and Champion can't do the same.
Hehe, I know your not waiting on the Paper and you know your not waiting on the paper, unfortunately the Paper doesn't want to believe that and still think their god! The truth is that the only paper I buy is the Sunday one for the TV guide and if I miss getting it for some reason, I don't lose any sleep.

Because Champion Data makes money by selling the ranking points for each player live during games. They're just defending their revenue stream. It's annoying for us fantasy players, but I can't blame them really.

Back on topic, and despite the fact that Game Day Live is seemingly randomly available (thanks for the links guys), I should note that the radio cut-over delay seemed to be solved on Saturday and Sunday, well at least for SEN. Perhaps someone has threatened to limit the banana supply...

just tried it from my PC at work 10+ seconds on a 100Mbit connection.
so according to alexa there are 6,706,400,000 websites that load quicker than AFL.com.au

Absolute crap!! I can hardly ever even load the main page, let alone load the articles. Dream Team is never working, this is absolute bulls**t.

Something as simple as the team selections this week.............took me 10 minutes and eventually found them hidden in a story (that had left the front page because it was 'old' - after less than a day mind you!!!!).
To much fluff and not enough substance.

Can we get a link directly to team selections every friday easily accesible? 11am on a Friday morning and where did I find the teams after 10 minutes? Realfooty.
FFS! For some reason the live stream of the radio commentary isn't working any more. I got it fixed and it was working okay, but it's tanked again.
I use Firefox, but it's the same if I try it with IE. It loads, buffers and happily chugs away but no sound comes out.
To add insult to injury, before I tried looking at the live scoreboard for tonights game and the links to them disappearred. I literally had to navagate my way through three different menu screens to get it up and running. I would hate to be someone who is new to using the 'net and having to fight their way through the AFL site. It is so badly laid out.
