The Torch component of the rising star is to reward the best poster of the Rookie class. Traditionally the sophomore class runs it's eye over the rookie posters and nominates the Rookie who contributed most to the match thread that round. At the end of the seasons all nominated torch winners will be ranked 1st to 18th and announced in reverse order on the rising star presentation night.
Since the S31 Rookie class is as useful as Anne Frank’s drum set and Gumbies season is making the Washington generals look quality, we are seeking purpose, we’ve hijacked the Torch.
In case anyone thinks these nominations and awards are based on any sort of objective nature, think again. Please make your application for nomination to the Gumbies (in case you’re too dumb to work it out that was a euphemism for a bribe)
The first 2 nominations of Brenton Davy and thewizardmelon will stand.
We’ll get the nominations for rounds 3-7 out over the next few days.
We’ll than get out the weekly nominations in the week following each round.
We will provide ad hoc feedback to rookies as we see fit, this is unlikely to be positive but will be delivered with love.
We are contractually obliged to mention that technically the S31 rookies are somewhat involved in the rising star but warn that bribes directed to the will be about as successful as Australia’s Soccer world cup bid.
