If Smith and Warner are stood down from leadership roles who would you pick to lead the side?

Paine is not young and I am not sure how solid his spot in the side is.

Not many other options though.

Mitch Marsh would be a good option if he had cemented his place in the side. He's improved, but he's probably not there yet.

I've liked what he's done with WA in his stint so far.

Paine and Mitch Marsh are the most obvious options. Mitch has apparently captained well at the lower levels.

Problem is that Mitch is still not really an established member of the side (Paine is slightly more so).

Khawaja has captained Queensland too, but his place in the side is shaky.

You could draft in a smokey Misbah-style, like Bailey for instance, but who knows whether he'd really justify his place in the side as a batsman?
