to be honest, i'm not a big fratellis fan. They're decent enough, but there are much better acts doing the British pop-punk/post punk thing these days. Namely Arctic Monkeys and Franz Ferdinand.

I heart the post-punk revival.

I've been on their bandwagon since the start of this year. One of the best bands going around at the moment. Reason I didn't include them is that I've been pumping them up on this board all year, so they're hardly "new" in that regard

Costello Music is an incredibly good album. Not a single bad track. I got the two bonus tracks that came with the Japanese version. One of them, "Cigarello", is easily one of their best songs.

you ever seen them live?? Doubt they'd have gone to Australia yet. Simply outstanding.

There was a series of gigs in Marlay Park Dublin a couple of weeks ago and they blew everyone off the park except for the Foo Fighters who were band of the week.

Mr Sensative, i would take FF first album over Fratelli's first album. Not by a whole lot though. But Franz's second album i thought was ordinary, and it reverted back to that indie-ish style that has been done to death during the first half of this decade. I mean, it was good, but i suppose i was just dissapointed because from the moment i first heard FF i thought this was the band that was gonna bring back a Led Zeppelin type sound....

Haven't seen them live yet. Their next album is due out late January/Early Feb so I'm hoping for a BDO appearence. Probably won't happen but you never know.

They have a live DVD coming out next month, can't wait.

Editors are great, saw them at the Hifi a couple of months ago and they killed it. Expatriate are another good band coming through

Definitely, the In The Midst Of This album reminds me a lot of Maximo Park, too.

Yeah, the Editors are rad. They've really grown on me. I wanted to go see them at the HiFi last month, but I was too cheap to shell out the $55!!

There's some great post punk stuff coming out these days.
