Any ideas on rules to be added/taken away to make the league better are welcome. :D

The first 4 members to reply with their training camp name will be in. Once we have 4 / 5 including myself, we can discuss how we are going to do the draft order.

Hawthorn40's fighters will be training out of Sonnen MMA

Alright, I'll be in. Call my team "Hackney's Nut-Jitsu".

Scoring system seems OK, although I think a KO win in a non title fight should score the same as a decision win in a title fight.

What happens in the event of injuries or just wanting to drop one of your fighters for a "free agent"?

***1 more spot remains, those that have expressed interest, the first to reply with the name of the training camp gets the spot***

Alfy!: I think maybe the FOTN/KOTN/SOTN get too many points. Huge discrepancy between example 1 and 2.

The reason why there was a huge difference is example 1 was IF Silva got sub of the night AND fight of the night (how often does that happen? not a lot) and the Silva fight was a championship fight so you would expect it scored higher. I'm happy to change it, how many points do you think FOTN/KOTN/SOTN should be worth?

I put the KO win 20% less than a decision win in a title fight because its so hard to ether defend a title or win the belt.

You can't drop a fighter but you can trade. This makes the drafting all the more important. This will put more thought and risk into your drafting as you will be taking a risk drafting a fighter that has back to back losses in the UFC (usually 3 losses in a row and your out). A season is just 10 UFC events anyway and then we can decide if we want to go anther round and have a new draft.

I'll participate if CA does not want too.

Btw whats your reasoning for 5 picks per weightclass?, 3 or even 2 per weight class can provide enough differentiation and allow more to participate.

I didn't want to have too many people in for the first one. This is just a new idea so we will trial the first 10 UFC events and see how it panned out. Then we can make changes and improvements.

I also thought if you only had 3 fighters per weight class it would make it even more rare that you will get a couple of your fighters on a PPV or fight night regularly. The whole idea of the fantasy league (for me anyway) was to make fights even more exiting whilst watching.

Even in the event of an injury?

Team Hug It Out

I can hear it now:

"And hers comes GSP looking in peak shape, Crimson & the boys from Team Hug It Out have put him through an exceptional camp & he looks like a man possessed in his rainbow tights."

Even in the event of an injury?

If you have an idea on a system that is fare, then sure.

I don't think anyone should be able to drop a fighter and sign anyone they want. What if Gilbert Melendez is available and the UFC signs him to fight Edgar. It wouldn't be fare for someone to drop one of their fighters and grab him.

I think it should be like any other training camp. You are going to get injuries, its part of the sport.

The Draft

I will be using a draft lottery program that will automatically email each team with a random number (this is just to confirm I haven't hand picked the numbers). Please PM me your email. Once all emails are received the draft order can begin. Numbers 1 + 5 are the lucky numbers.

I think it should be like any other training camp. You are going to get injuries, its part of the sport.

In the event of injury, you could look at giving the manager of that fighter his replacement (provided he is unclaimed) or another unclaimed fighter on that card. Using 137 as an example, let's say Siver gets injured and he's one of my lightweights. He gets replaced by a comebacking Shannon Gugerty. I could then either use Gugerty or one of Nijem or Downes provided they were both not selected in the draft. What do you reckon?

As for the draft, I trust you to run the sim and just post the results on here or via PM. I'm only doing this for a bit of fun so even if the draft were to suspiciously favour you, I wouldn't mind. :)
