Nothing like a disloyal supporter. No mention of a completely ineffective forward line?

This post makes no sense. Who in the forward line was going to be captain?

Pearce plays in the backline and had a shocker. Therefore mentioning that choosing a lock down defender makes sense as that is the position he plays.

I wasn't a big fan of the decision to make him captain but based on the players opinions I'm sure he's the best option for us at the moment and he'll end up doing a good job. But, he's not off to a good start!

I agree and I hope he does end up doing a great job. His kicking under pressure is something that adds pressure and complexity to the team, which isn't ideal.

Pearce was basically captain last year anyway guys

Altho it does draw parallels to the Mundy 2016 disaster (not really Mundy's fault), taking over a club legend, big fall down the ladder etc

In this case Pearce had been captain most of last season when we were good, ride it out

Poor this evening. Absolutely towelled up.

Hoping it turns for him, but he has had a rough start to the year.

Larkey smashed him last week and the kids whose name escapes me absolutely got the better of him in round 1 as well.
