Not a huge fan of co-captains but it's probably a good compromise while Allen is still establishing himself.

We've been rocking the co-captain look unofficially the last few years whilst Shuey was injured a lot.
Oh god in a club lacking leadership with shuey and Hurn retirement we add more confusion by adding co captain's whom will people look up to and look for as their captain.
In a young squad you need someone to rule with iron fist.

I’d have preferred a solo captain but if the club feel this is way to go, it’s better than ‘Alex Pearcing’ it.

Generally not a fan of co-captains. It's like having two vice captains only. Hope it works out as they are both deserving.

Swans have had co captains almost every year since Maxfield retired in 200* so I wonder if this is Pyke putting his stamp on things for the first time.

That's my sentiment too.
As much as I don't like co-captains, Judd & Cousins were basically co-captains for our 2006 premiership.

Doubles our chances of having our captain out on the ground at least.
I don't mind it tbh. Reflects a seeming rising tide of buy-in across the group. Less me/I and more team/us. I think this can only be a good thing

Yeh thought the same thing but actually don't mind it. I feel like Duggo doesn't play much past 30 with his dodgy knee, by then Oscar is 27-28 and gets a good 3-4 year solo run at it as we (hopefully) climb the ladder.
Not overly surprising.

I get the feeling that we're hedging our bets.
They want Allen as captain but view him as maybe a year or two too early (games played/age), and so they took an older player with leadership to lead/teach/backup until then.

Make the decision and move on ffs. Duggan been touted future captain for years whilst Allen (my choice) is also thoroughly deserving. Just pick one.
