"NORTH Melbourne players who can't win a contest will be dropped no matter how silky their skills are, Roos coach Brad Scott has warned.

...

"We'll be analysing it really closely and working out why we couldn't win the ball in a contest and we'll be holding the players really, really accountable on that," Scott said.

"Because the bottom line for us now is if you can't win the ball and you can't defend well enough to get it back, I don't care what you can do with the ball in your hands, you won't play for us, it's as simple as that.

"I'll have a really close look at it and hold myself accountable first, but then hold individuals within the team accountable and then we'll make our decisions based on that," Scott said.

That was from 22 March. It is good to see that, 4 months on, nothing has changed I.e. There is still no evidence of Brad's words being matched by his actions.

Interestingly though, his doppelgänger has some thoughts on accountability. Straight swap?

This is the point. We keep hearing the same hollow words about learning lessons, being accountable, players will pay blah, blah.

No worries - you enjoy your pathetic thread and keep shaking your fist in anger when Scott's name is mentioned. It might be beyond blue time for you Der.
and you enjoy a life of mediocrity. We can't even see the door to the top four let alone think about opening it. We're now worried about closing the back door to the top 8.

From now on Brad Scotts will be know as Back Door Brad Scotts.

Piss weak - answer the question.
What do you think bright spark? He'll still be coach. You know that's what I want. For Scotts to prove me wrong. To turn things around. To have us challenge for a Flag. To win the Flag. Will Scotts win us the Flag Wild Bill? If so when will he win us this Flag? :stern look

Scott will be our coach until the end of 2016.

However the Club must take steps to correct whatever it is (soft coaching, mentally weak players, selection problems etc) that
is holding us back. We can't tread water for 2+ years.

When do you ever see Brad Scott coming down to the boundary line tp give the team some instructions on positioning and even any advice... never. I think a lot can be gained by going down to the bench and having a one on one convo with a player who is learning the game.
