As it has been pointed out, Schwab and CC are mates. I don't see a problem with that really. A lot of us become good mates with those we work with.

Have a look at St Kilda - what a public melt down between former coach GT and Buttersssszzzz - whose comments cannot help the Saints club at all.

Isn't there legal action happening there as well with some debt or something like that??

At least we are stable off-field in Fremantle. Things arent so bad compared to other clubs current problems.

The legal situation with Butterss and Thomas is over money Thomas supposedly owes for a business deal between the two. Has nothing to do with football.

What Rod Butterss wouldn't have counted on was the backlash from the players when Grant Thomas was sacked. Nick DalSanto and Nick Riewoldt haven't signed on yet, with suggestions that they are still angry that the club sacked GT.

We should make sure we are in any race for Dal Santo. I've been a fan of his ever since he was first drafted. He's one of those players that can alter the space/time continuum. Do a big trade for him and X Clarke, and see if we can get X right with our better medical team.

I think it's fair to say that there wouldn't be the same backlash if Connolly was sacked at seasons end, McPharlin is the only player I've seen genuinely support the coach.

Connolly would go way back to when McPharlin first arrived at Hawthorn.

I wouldn't be so sure about no backlash. What I do know is Hawthorn went out the door backwards very quickly after Connolly left. Coincidence?

We would have to give away too much for Dal Santo. Maybe Murphy plus a 1st or 2nd round pick.

DalSanto and Clarke would be a reasonable trade if Pavlich decided to go yo Victoria, unless that happens there is zero chance of DalSanto playing for Freo. Collingwood and Essendon will have plenty of cap space with Buckley and Hird retiring, if he leaves the saints he'll end up at one of those two clubs.

Connolly has had more public support from the hawthorn players than he has had from the Fremantle players. There's no doubt that he had a great relationship with the players when he was at the hawks but that doesn't mean he has clicked with the players at Freo. Peter Rhode was endorsed by the players when he was an assistant at the dogs, but athletes need a leader, not a mate.
