a) Coaches really need to earn their job through an apprenticeship as an assistant these days. The only debut coach to come straight out of the media in recent times was Tim Watson for St Kilda in 1999. He was an abysmal failure.
Definitely agree with this. Charisma can only get you so far. Either Mark Harvey or Gary O'Donnell look like being the next new AFL coach, probably sometime in the next 15 months.
