Seems the club might have jumped the gun... again.
3 out of 4 promised signings revealed and the last I heard was Thursday or Friday, stating "more in the coming days".
Now it's Wednesday, and nothing.
Having tweeted the club and Steele, the latest update is "still in negotiations, mate".
Like the Springfield drama, maybe the club should nail things down before making promises instead of breaking their neck to give us 'good news'.

Many players managers use the 'media' as a form of leverage in contractual negotiations - can't the club use its web site similarly? [only a thought, I have no knowledge if this is what has occurred]

That would be the only thing that makes some sense, I suppose.

Wouldn't announcing it early just put more pressure on the club to come to a deal more quickly? No skin off the player's nose if the club is left with nothing to say for a few more weeks.

I am ****ing stoked we've shown the faith with Beamsy. He's been unlucky but it is going to pay off.

EDIT: Hoping to be back by round 5 too. That seems sooner than initially thought. Great stuff.

Nice show of faith in a bloke who's had a rough trot with injury and would've been nervous given that he'd previously stated that this was his make or break year.

For me he would at least push Squizzy out of the best 22.
