Tbf we've strategically gutted the club in such a way that there's not really any leaders outside of ollie and two list clogging defenders.

3 years + 1 to go for DJB is pretty bad business. If Ken is out after his payday next year, he's a big chance to be sent to the SANFL by a new coach with 3 years to go on presumably decent money.

3 year extension for DBJ on top of the year he already had left on his deal - the graphic is wrong, the article says his contract now doesn't expire until end of 2026.

Absolutely ridiculous for a player who can't defend one on one, whose best attribute offensively is the "kick long aimlessly" approach and is a fish out of water whenever the pressure is on.

He had a great 2020 but has been rubbish ever since and his place in the side should have been up for debate. And yet he somehow gets this kind of extension - mind boggling.

Get him out of the leadership group.next season and let him focus on his own game to get back to his best form. Otherwise this contract is going to be a fizzer.

Not fussed about Boak - was always going to happen but I suspect next year will be his last once Butters and Rozee overtake him in the midfield.

One year for Mead would have been more appropriate but he had a very good SANFL season - looks a "nice" player at AFL level. Not sure where he will slot in next year - how does he get an on-ball position ahead of Boak, Butters, Rozee, Drew, possibly Dunkley etc, or are they going to play him as a high half forward which isnt his best position but may be able to take advantage of his useful disposals inside 50. But if he can develop as much this off season as he did over the last 12 months I'm sure he will see plenty of time in the seniors.
