I'd put money on Paddy being at WC in 2016. The coaches and players love him - it's only BF that doesn't.Can easily see Maginnity going to Dockers next year .

He hasn't hesitated to play him during his two year stint. Wait and see I guess.Woosha did. But does Simmo? Really he's not best 26 players and will be 27 next year.
Personally I don't see why he'd be retained. Reality bites eventually.

Was straight back in after his injury so i dare say he rates him.
Assuming one of them stays who do you think is the third player we move on?If selwood stays, mcginnity goes
Mcginnity may be delisted anyway but he has no hope if we have to delist 2 after beau's retirement
The true meaning of 'depth player'.I just cant believe that McGinnity may be going into his 9th season. He hasn't even played 100 games yet and is still a chance not to get there even if he goes on.

Other than McGinnity and Selwood the only players out of contract it seems are
Butler
Tunbridge
Karpany
Main
It's no more than a hunch but I can see Butler retiring - he still isn't that durable and he strikes me as the sort of bloke that despite being capable of playing on and contributing would stand aside so a younger player can stay on the list.
The other 3 would be shitting bricks as they've shown no more than potential so far without making a big impact -Tunbridge hasn't really shown he's AFL level in his limited exposure whilst Main And Karpany are still trying to cement a place in the East Perth league side. I can see one or both of them being rookie listed but that would necessitate one or two of Newman, Lucas, Powell or Maginess being either elevated or cut. The saving grace for them maybe the talk of this being a shallow draft

All three have done well this year and deserve their extensions. I like Frase as depth for basically every tall position on the field, good squad member to keep. Wellers has just been sensational - he and Shep are a dream to watch. And a Ross G speaks for itself...![]()
