There is a rumour circulating that Peter Sumich is in the mix for Gold Coast. Can any one verify?

I have heard the same thing - that it was a bit further along than just on the prospectives list - from two different circles (one makes his living from footy, the other business) in the past three days and find it odd that it's not all over the news.

Haven't Gold Coast said they were looking for someone with prior experience at league level? The rumour going around here today is Hinkley has been offered a 5 year deal @ $600,000 per year. Mind you, it's just a rumour.

I think this Hinkley thing is a smokescreen. Get the CEO to call a contracted coach's manager and then leak it to the old crone to throw the press off what the club is up to. It wouldn't surprise me who they sign, but another Freo/Ross Lyon style surprise is on the cards now for sure.
