Good luck to him. Was great to see the way he handled not being picked for that 04 gf side...if I recall correctly it was line ball between him and Schofield. A lesser person would have taken that personally and walked. I still believe he should have got that last spot on the team.
Nah, Schofield was a class above Cochrane and deserved to be in the team. Would love to have a young Schoey in the team now.... delivery delivery delivery
 
Aren't we losing our reserves?
The SANFL has to give 12 months notice for a fundamental change to the structure implemented at the end of 2013 season. From the September 2013 SANFL statement which listed the conditions for 2014 and 2015 and 2015 structure stays in place until terminated but need 12 months notice.

Changing player conditions isn't part of the 12 months notice issues. It is part of the conditions covered under the working party set up.

COMMERCIAL STRUCTURE
Commitment & Licence Fee
• 15 year term, reviewed annually by the SANFL.
• 12 month notice period for SANFL & SANFL Clubs to terminate agreement.
• Port Adelaide Magpies to forego $400K of their Club distribution in 2014.
• Port Adelaide Magpies to retain the balance of the Club distribution for servicing their zone in 2014.
• No distribution payable by the SANFL to Port Adelaide Magpies post the removal of PAFC promotional zones at the end of 2014 season

COMPETITION STRUCTURE
State representation
• Magpies listed 15 players to have the opportunity to play State Football. AFL-listed players will not be eligible for selection.
Boundaries
• SANFL to establish a review of SANFL Club boundaries – with a view to completion by mid-2014.

The SANFL will establish a working party, as it is with the AFC, to work through finalising the appropriate regulations in preparation for the 2014 season.
