This is what A League need to look at. Albeit not this expensive. But in terms of watching Soccer at Suncorp stadium in Brisbane, it’s dire. MLS have the right idea in having 20-25k capacity boutique stadiums with impressive atmosphere.
Australia doesn’t have enough world class 20-30k stadiums and the round game struggles because of that. Sure MCG, Perth stadium and Adelaide Oval are impressive but unless it sells out, it’s not viable outside of the AFL season.
Brisbane having a 15-20k stadium at Perry Park or Ballymore will be great. Parramatta stadium is impressive given its budget and time it was built

The world's biggest cricket stadium, by capacity was opened within the last week - the Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera, in Ahmedabad. Trump spoke there late last night Oz time, not sure if it was the inaugural event. Modi spoke with Trump at a 50,000 stadium in USA last year.

That isn't 100% clear if its boundary to boundary or fence to fence but in metres that is 148.1m x 155.4m

MCG boundary to boundary for AFL is 162m x 139m, and fence to fence is 171m x 146m.
AFL boundary to boundary is from 2020 AFL Record Season guide but for many, many years was listed as 160m x 141m in the Season Guide up to and including the 2017 edition.





You can ignore the political rhetoric but the sweeping shops of the crowd give you a good idea of the enormity of the ground and how MCG like it is at times.

It’s definitely an oval but pretty a pretty rectangular one, the surface might be too small.

Not any more after the redevelopment. It used to have an athletics track around the gridiron field

It can fit an athletics track but they will remove seats for the 2028 Olympics.

The 2 new NFL stadiums are nearing completion in time for start of 2020 NFL season.
The Raiders stadium in Vegas called Allegiant Stadium after Allegiant Air a Las Vegas HQ low cost airline, and the Rams and Chargers stadium in LA originally called Los Angeles Stadium at Hollywood Park but now with naming rights sold its SoFi Stadium - some personal company is paying $20m/ year x 30 years.
