They do look a little sharper though I think - got rid of that god awful exposed stitching etc

Quite...ummm...tight? - better get Willie a couple of sizes ready.

Unless of course one of our resident jumper nerds is about to jump in and tell us they are nothing but re-badged ISC left overs? 😅

I would not be surprised if these are Sekem jumpers made up quickly until the proper Castore stock arrives. Collar is exactly the same as the Freo jumpers, side stitching and collar now different. Also the Castore logo is heatpressed over the ISC logo on the shorts.
 
Nah they’re not ISC. One of the guys from the graphic design board suggested that maybe they’re sekem produced jumpers with Castore logos on them?? Could be true too, collar and high sponsor positions look very similar to freos jumpers for this year.

Would make sense, local company. They’ve done well enough with Freos stuff, and look to have done ok with ours (if it’s true) stuff some random Euro company trying to do AFL gear. They’ve clearly got no idea what they’re doing anyway. Cut our loses and pull out. Surely they could get out of the contract due to gross negligence? Probably exaggerating a bit there, but we’re no small fish, throw our weight around and piss them off
 
It's entirely possible that if Castore couldn't produce or determined it was too far out of their specialty then they subcontracted the whole thing to Sekem who are essentially producing Castore gear under license. Castore then stick to supporter gear/leisure wear etc.

Who knows??

Alright yep...gotta be sekem surely ..its a distinct collar...and just happens to be local.

Must have been looking at a few of the posts on here (me included). This neck/collar looks so much better.

Edit: May be as suggested, more to this story.
Wouldn't be sorry to see Sekem take over. In the early 70s I used to wear my West Perth Sekem jumper to every match. Lasted well, 100% wool in those days too.

West Coast have been forced to turn to century-old local manufacturer Burley Sekem to create an emergency set of playing guernseys, after a premium British sportswear brand backed by tennis star Andy Murray couldn’t deliver suitable jumpers on time.
The Eagles will run out for their season opener against Gold Coast at Optus Stadium on Sunday wearing guernseys made by Burley Sekem, but badged as if produced by new apparel partner Castore.
West Coast signed a three-year deal with Castore last year, replacing ISC.
But the Liverpool-based company, which had never made an Aussie Rules guernsey have not been able to satisfy the Eagles’ requirements over the summer.
West Coast chief executive Trevor Nisbett said the deal with Castore, who partner Scottish soccer champions Rangers and have designs on entering the English Premier League, was secure.
The first shipment of Castore jumpers featured a new-look visible stitching design and blue seam that split the iconic gold wings and were widely criticised by fans on social media — including being labelled “atrocious” and “like a fake you’d find in some market in Kuta”.
Nisbett said the club’s problems with the Castore guernseys related to being the wrong sizes for players, rather than the look, and that COVID-19 issues had exacerbated delays.
The problems have meant several Eagles have played in pre-season matches wearing the wrong numbers and the team photo and other promotional shoots had to be pushed back.

“Some of the sizes weren’t right and we couldn’t take any risk, so that’s why we got Burley to make this other set for us,” Nisbett said.
“Probably a month ago we decided to get some made locally. But we’re dealing with Castore and they’ll get on top of it eventually.”
Castore co-founder Tom Beahon said entering the AFL market had been a “steep learning curve” for the company, which boasts Murray as a shareholder.
“The guernsey is, I think it’s fair to say, a unique product probably in world sport,” Beahon said.
“So for us to come in as a new brand to that, we knew that it would be a learning experience.
“There’s been a fairly significant external challenge adding a bit of pressure, given that Coronavirus has just made factories harder to work with.
“This season it’s only going to go from strength to strength ... we’re very excited about the season ahead.”
A Burley Sekem representative told The West Australian he could not comment when asked if the company had produced the new Eagles guernseys.
Burley Sekem has joined Fremantle this season as their new apparel partner, replacing ISC.

Collingwood use Nike, several world known sporting teams use Nike, why couldn't we? Why did we have to partner with a manufacturer with no AFL experience, a company that was caught hot pressing Scottish soccer team logos onto school uniforms? Legit head scratcher from the club. Surely we didn't go with them because of their wings logo?

Can’t believe they haven’t just bailed on the contract really - what an embarrassment.

95% of punters couldn’t give a * who’s made the jumpers but you’d really think we were above this crap...

Guessing they paid sekem a decent amount of cash...and rightfully so.

Hope sekem fleeced them tbh

I think the technical terms would be made under licence for Castore?
