Geelong have just allocated jumper numbers for their new players in 2021:

Have any other teams announced ?
Good to see Shaun Higgins still rocking the #4 at Geelong

Brent Harvey gave the number 29 to our first selection Will Phillips. Must be one of the shortest-lived number "retirements" ever.

Explains why he turned us down last year.

JUH in 22 is interesting given Lloyd just retired. Wonder if he would have been in 26 otherwise?

I thought he was a lock for Hahn's old #8

35 and 42 aren’t available at Port.

35 was John McCarthy’s number and it’s been retired since his death. I’m not sure if this will be forever but I doubt we’ll see it back until those who played with him have finished their careers.

42 is reserved for Tom Jonas to return to in the event he relinquishes the captaincy, and therefore the 1, before the end of his career. Just as Boak has returned to 10. We’ve done this ever since things got awkward with Tredrea and Pearce.

Surely the Bombers run with Cody Brand in the #31? It's a small thing in the grand scheme but it would be a great feel good story for both player and club.

EDIT: Just read that Fletch Jnr is coming through so probably holding off for him.
