I have no problem with the St.K kit, but the white "stripe" in the middle of an otherwise dark guernsey creates the same problem/annoyance as the WCE tripanel, so I can see why people have a problem with it.
The problem is that people want to wear guernseys that contain the same colours.
If you don't want to clash with WCE Tri-Panel, don't wear Navy or similar, ochre or similar, or white (assuming one believes there is enough white to make this an issue).
If you don't want to clash with St Kilda Tri-Panel, don't wear black or similar, red or similar, or white (the above assumption applying).
When teams have a problem creating a clash top against the tri-panels, it's becuase they're trying to (or are told to) use a colour that they actually should be avoiding. The navy ochre and white could be in Hawthorn-esque diamonds all over the guernsey and the same rule would apply - just wear red and you're fine. Or vs St Kilda, wear yellow.
