Haha. Sounds suspiciously like someone who's trying to sound convincing.
Nah, I genuinely mean it.
I'd put money on it that we will release a new clash this week or next at the latest.
Whether it's exactly like what Groupie has been saying or not we will have something different.

We can have a vote or something if you think my opinion is out of line with your average footy follower who doesn't support the saints.
Why not, lets put it to the masses. See if we can find some objectivity here.

I have always thought that our home jumper was reasonably popular among non saints supporting fans.

But what do others around here think?

It's fine, it's a traditional design, it's just pretty boring compared to other designs in the league IMO.

It's just boring because the jumper does nothing with an excellent colour scheme, it's simply three panels of colours. Looks like a god damn Napoleon Ice Cream tub.

The hooped one off last season and this year's clash do the colours more justice imo.

doubt it, not til round 8 against port
Insterstate away game (where utilistation of away/clash guernseys seems the norm), under lights in a highly-viewed timeslot. Perfect opportunity to gain some much needed exposure.

Plus, many of you believe the Lions maroon clashes with Richmond's yellow/black with white shorts..

I prefer the Saints to Essendon. ;)

Fair enough. I see what you're saying, but i think the colour combination is good enough that it stands up well. Best colours in the league IMO. Maybe I'm biased though.
I would say St Kilda has the best colours in the league bar none. Except for a brief period mentioned a few pages back, they've always stuck to their traditional home strip and have always had the best away/clash strips (although this may be in part due to the available colours).

The only thing I wish they'd do, which others have mentioned, is keep the collar and cuffs white. It provides balance on the home strip, especially as white is the middle panel colour. Making them black makes it a far too dark jumper, however despite this it is still one of the better jumpers out there.

What's up with the logo on the collar? who was doing their gear at that point?
ConceptSports, who also did Richmond's apparel in 04/05. They went under shortly after I believe.

Freo had their club logo on the neck in 2004 but the guernseys were manufactured by 'Covert Fashions'

Any reason they never really promoted themselves and just used club logos?
Might be why they went under.

Yeah, but why would they do that for their own sake?
Why would Sekem manufacture the guernseys for St Kilda but then have logos like Piping Hot and Skins displayed instead of their own?

Some things just happen I guess, maybe Mero might know

Just trying to catch a few more posters who dont know about the change in format for this season's jumper tipping that is in testing over this weekend.

Below is the site were the tipping will take place, and anything further questions can be posted in the thread on the front page of the board

https://sites.google.com/site/bfjumpertipping/

Everything is good to go, please fill out the registration for the actual season

And, for preseason tipping please go into PRE-SEASON and find WEEK 1 down the bottom of the page. You'll need to type in your username, and then page by page you'll go through each match picking what they'll wear (use the JUMPERS DATABASE as reference). At the bottom of each page, is a preferences box, feel free to write what you believe they should be wearing over what you think they are going to wear.

Remember this is a Beta Test of the site before we advertise to other boards. So please be critical with any feedback, and please don't be afraid to offers suggestions as well.
