I know I'm not adding anything..

But the Suns jumper is so boring!
Could be a great one with their colours. Surely a rebranding in the next few years?

Their old away jumper with the wave should be their home jumper.

Forget a rebrand, they'll be merged off Bears style the way things are going.

Unpopular opinion: I have no issue with and kinda like the Suns home jumper.

The only problem with it is the logo, which will inevitably be replaced at some point in the future and could cause issues with the jumper. But what I can't stand is people saying they don't like it because its "boring". By that standard, almost every Victorian club would have a "boring" jumper - particularly Carlton.

Its a jumper that the basic design can be retained for years and years to come and will still be a strong image. Hopefully they can come up with a better monogram for the middle and it could become timeless.

The wave jumper was tacky from day one. Sooooo glad they gave it the arse.

You say you like it but then say the one design element it features - the logo - is a problem.
I like the red base with the yellow sides. The logo can be changed out for a better one somewhere down the track, and it's not a deal breaker for me anyway. A lot of people's issues with it is the fact that it's "just a plain red jumper with some yellow down the sides". That's what I like about it - no abstract waves, or lightning bolts, or anchors, or gradient birds. It's a simple - but IMO strong - design.

Simple monogram jumper ie Carton's is made strong by its single tone and strong, bold monogram. Gold Coast's is so weak which makes it just look like a training jumper and makes it look flimsy.

Yeah, I agree, the concept is strong. Arguably, it's a more complicated design than Carlton simply for the two colours. And as much fun as it is to attempt to re-brand them, what they have right now is still a solid design. Obviously, the logo needs a lot of work, and it would be good to have a bit of similarity between their jumpers, but all in good time. Red and gold is quite striking as is - no need for overly complicated designs.

I wish they would own red and gold, with maybe white only as a very minute trimming, and do away with the blue. Would be a strong and unique brand in the AFL.

Not necessarily.

Saints could wear the same as 2015 and Freo just wear the Purple version of theirs.

Geelong have the same design in home and clash so they could wear whichever suits.

I wouldn't mind seeing them drop this round now. It was interesting seeing it for a couple of years, but we know it'll just be garish wavy lines/dots/boomerangs buggering up the designs we all like so much. They could alternate between indigenous/retro/'innovative' and get rid of the predictability of it all.

Looks like it could be around for a while. (From the link above)

THE AFL's Indigenous Round will be named in honour of Aboriginal icon Sir Doug Nicholls from 2016 onwards.

Melbourne v Port 3 years running, at our own request, but you're definitely likely to see a new design from us. Guaranteed.

How I wish they would bring back Heritage Round...

Like, I think the Indigenous Round is great, and produces some great (and not-so great) designs, but I think if the AFL took Heritage Round more seriously and focused on the history of each club, as well as the throwback guernseys, it could be a successful idea which allows younger fans to understand the history of their club.
