Not really anything surprising. TPG have a reputation of gutting a company they purchase and shipping all the jobs off to Manilla while lining their own pockets. Problem is people continue to sign up and then get frustrated when they actually need support and end up talking to clueless, poorly trained morons on the other side of the world who make ~$80 a week.

What's so dangerous exactly?

Early 2000's there was some sort of AFL-supplier affiliation wasn't there?

Firstly that collar is so good, it needs a return.

But I think it becomes dangerous because if the AFL are the sole supplier for all clubs they own that whole industry, all clubs will be paid the same amount (rather than the small clubs working to become bigger and get a larger brand), the gear will be all the same and it just takes away more personality from the sport.

I don't know if I'd like to see the Nike's, Adidas' and Puma's disappear for the AFL owned BLK (colour issue fixed even).

It's worth mentioning that someone on the Richmond board suggested the AFL are looking into buying BLK to continue supplying to the clubs... sets a dangerous precedent if the AFL become a league wide supplier.
I would like to think that the recent seven and five-year deals for Essendon and Richmond respectively means that there is no cause for concern for some time.

Also, it'd be kinda funny if Puma couldn't make the black properly...

For so much hype, they'd want to do it well :p
I would be amazed if player issues have not been already made by puma and checked to make sure the black is black.

But it could be bad for those with BLK now if the AFL take control, and potentially any others coming out of contract?
Not that I think it'll happen.
Sneak peak of Richmond's clash

Is the Hungry Jack's logo above the Puma logo on the left hand side of the shorts?
Different

If the AFL buys BLK they are buying it for the Giants and the Suns to be with forever :D
