Yeah I believe BLK sponsor the AFL employees entirely.
It would be a stupid move to buy BLK, broken company with a tarnished reputation

Not really (from an AFL perspective) because you eliminate the issue of the existing clubs right away, you start to own a area of the code you currently don't have, you can start to bring in other clubs and control the fees, issuing, licencing and all of that and they don't care for the reputation - I mean, if they fixed the colours they would be fine - I don't like the idea of it one bit but I can see the appeal and why they may be doing due diligence.

i guess its the same design but in different colours. They had a few in green, oranges and grey. They also had the usual singlet with orange instead of the yellow. None of them are available for sale
they need to get the full Sydney FC style range. I don't get how they can have it but West Coast can't

Yep, lots of player issue training tanks and tees unavailable for retail sale. Loving the vast amounts of OCHRE included in these. Particulary the black and ochre number seen on Jetta.

That collar has my eyes watering. Love the logo - as long as they keep everything from media polos to run-out tops to a modest level of detail, the reception will be a good one.

Seeing the logo on a Lions jumper sort of reminds me of the Russell Athletic* days with the letter/icon over the type.

*I actually didn't even realise Russell Athletic still existed. I don't mind their updated logo.

no idea why sydney fc would have so much considering they aren't a huge sporting club but i don't think theres pressing need to have a variety of training gear. Having the same garment with different colours makes sense.

That's the first time I can recall Puma providing any training apparel that hasn't been navy or white (excluding coaches tops) That black / orange singlet looks great. Seems unusual to depart from the standard colours to having 3 different non club coloured tops, but I like it.

Do you think Richmond getting what West Coast have ? Or will we have more of a say in what merch we get to sell
I seem to recall back when Puma had more than just West Coast (Hawks, Sydney, Essendon etc) they would have one or two templates / designs for training / off field apparel and all clubs would have the same, just in their respective club colours. Wouldn't be surprised at all if you guys and black and yellow variants of what we have, although with these new coloured training tops maybe you will get some different colours there?

Tried on a new Hawks guernsey the other day, might just be the new material.... but it almost seems like they are yet another size larger. EG 3XL is now more like a 4 or 5 xl. Tried one on and it was bigger and baggier than the 13-16 tops. I certainly have not lost weight haha.

I was told a while back by the manufacturer I dealt with for my club (the manufacturer has since fallen by the wayside due to getting involved with a dodgy investor) that in the coming years the AFL would look to exclusively produce the playing gear for amateur and suburban clubs. There would be a lot of money in it for them. I wouldn't be surprised if they bought BLK with a view to doing this down the track.

This is bad.

Clubs struggle enough as it is, can't imagine the rise in financial costs to suburban clubs as the AFL looks to take advantage...

The Perth Amateur league has gone done this path as of last season, the WAAFL now dictates to clubs which manufacturer to use for jumpers and shorts, unfortunately this manufacturer is not as good as who my club used to use in terms of fit and material. Assume this would be a directive of the WAFC so could be case of this happening state wide soon? Who knows?
