There should be a rule that a team must wear their away guernsey at least twice a year during the season (not counting finals) like in the NRL currently. Most clubs except for Geelong, Gold Coast and North Melbourne meet that possible rule already and some like Hawthorn and Sydney meet it voluntarily
I’m not sure about introducing arbitrary rules for the sake of it. I think a club should wear what they want, obviously as long as they don’t clash against the home team when playing away.

The team are the ones who benefit through merch sales by wearing it, so they’re already incentivised

I've mentioned elsewhere that I wouldn't be against a rule that clubs wear their clash as their default away guernsey, except in cases where the clash is objectively a worse option. That fits in with Geelong wearing the clash away against Sydney (improves the distinction) and Gold Coast (doesn't make the distinction any worse). But wearing the clash away against the Dogs or Eagles would be ridiculous, when no-one can seriously argue that the traditional guernsey doesn't do the job of telling the teams apart much better. Which is - after all - why they wear guernseys.

Only suggesting those teams based on Carlton, who wear Home with white shorts against bulldogs, west coast, GWS, Brisbane and Hawks. Then carlton have full navy against sydney and gold coast with North the exception for Carlton in recent years having played the Good Friday game.

Personally, if Carlton wear this combo against those teams, really without many clash issues then I don't see why cats can't, it gets boring seeing the same designs week in, week out. Spice it up a little without creating some abomination
Because Carlton think they're above wearing their clash jumper most of the time.

Exactly this^.
The FILA 'bib' is still within the collar, and matches the rest of the collar's colour. This O'Neills one is just large for no reason.
I’d say it’s just a more futuristic take on an old school bib that’s all. You’re never wrong, just early 😉

New Geelong clash to match the women:

Looks pretty clean, though there’s a big chance they won’t need to wear it as usual?

It's definitely better than the previous clash, which was just the inverse. I like it, though still wish Geelong would bring back the jumper in my pfp

The 2008 one is ok, but no hoops on the front means it loses its classic feel a bit.

Love the new clash, alot more effective the the inverse and still has the hoops on the front.

I've never really warmed to that logo, so I've always preferred our clashes from before that logo was launched and afterwards where it was understated while still being a good, functional clash (see the offerings from 2007 and then 2012-13 for my previous favourites - https://www.footyjumpers.com/geelongaway.htm).

I don't mind the big 'G' that they've moved towards in recent years on preseason guernseys, the collar of official guernseys and club merchandise, but would like them to use the silhouette cat logo that they have on the chest under the Ford logo as part of the clash, if they want something besides hoops/stripes.
