Just noticed - such a weird decisionCollingwoods away jersey has 3 different versions for the extra stripe on the side with Small Medium Large. Looks terrible

That makes even less sense...Brisbane at GMHBA, Away Jumper white white shorts Brisbane wear with Vic jumper means you could wear Navy Clash.

Dont think it would happen, but its an option. That makes even less sense...
I'm not disagreeing with you there. They should bring it out more often when playing away to the Swans and Gold Coast.Dont think it would happen, but its an option.
Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney are the only teams Geelong wears Navy Shorts Against (Brisbane when at GMHBA only). Its silly if it happened, but its an option.
Realistically, its either Sydney at the SCG or its not used.
There isn't a more appropriate thread for this and it's probably too late to start a thread for preseason uniform discussions, so here will have to do. Some pretty obvious kit matchups for the games already played, would've predicted exactly this.

Predictions for the last 7 matches:

Just got a feeling Hawthorn will rock this again, and seeing as the Dogs and Essendon both wore coloured shorts for match sim, I could see this getting the ok. White shorts for the Dogs are probably equally likely.

The Crows don't really have a suitable kit in the normal rotation to wear against Brisbane. Seeing as the Gather Round design hasn't technically been announced for 2025, I don't think they'll wear that with white shorts, and I can see the yellow training jumper being worn much like the blue one was last week. Would like to see Brisbane wear a training jumper but this seems more likely.

Would prefer to see Carlton in the clash, but this feels more likely.

There's a chance Gold Coast might wear the training guernsey that says SUNS on it, but surely they debut the new home kit here right? I have no doubt the Swans will wear this kit though.

Saints tend to get experimental for preseason, and being the home team I imagine the black version of this is more likely than last week's red. Port should wear this kit no matter what though.

Toss up between this and the home for North but the bounding roo is pretty much always the away jumper according to the uniform schedule. Should be the same here even if their home provides slightly more contrast.

Melbourne don't have an adequate kit for away games against Freo, and I don't reckon they'll pull out a surprise red backed away jumper for the preseason (that's what they did last year in the H&A game with little to no fanfare). Wearing the training jumper might end up being the best course of action, but I could see some sort of trainwreck matchup occurring here if they don't.
Get ready for a Melbourne Preseason retro.

Good pick up. Must mean The City of Ballarat couldn't stump up the cash for another round but the State Government was happy to foot the bill. Not necessarily a bad move pushing regional tourism more broadly.I don't think this has been mentioned before - new shorts sponsor for the Bullodgs, 'Victoria Every Bit Different' (Vic Government) replacing BALLARAT.

Hopefully a second clash option for Melbourne this year![]()

Sadly it sums up the majority of our fanbase perfectly. Old, apathetic about football and have enabled the attitude of us being shit forever as a given.Using the 90s AFL logo is very strange.
This is the definition of a fauxback, it's an inverse of the pre-season jumper from 1996/97.
Ergo, it has never been worn before.
Don't let that stop the club though:

It's even creating fake memories in the minds of some fans!

Yes, it's a training kit I believeHas this yellow version of the Adelaide clash jumper been seen before?
it's their yellow training jumper; made an appearance on Facebook 18/12/24 -Has this yellow version of the Adelaide clash jumper been seen before?
Okay, fair enough. The sponsor placements seem to align with the league guidelines (some teams have a large front of guernsey sponsor logo for training kit) so is there any reason this won't be worn in home and away games where required?it's their yellow training jumper
One can hope, but don't hold your breath!Okay, fair enough. The sponsor placements seem to align with the league guidelines (some teams have a large front of guernsey sponsor logo for training kit) so is there any reason this won't be worn in home and away games where required?
Maybe it's like one of those Reverse Retro jerseys you see in the NHL?Using the 90s AFL logo is very strange.

I reckon they've mistaken it for the 2009 clash jumper, the instagram post refers to the 2004 clash jumper and it's a colour-swapped version of the 1996-97 pre-season jumper.Sadly it sums up the majority of our fanbase perfectly. I wonder if there’s a rule that specifically prohibits a number on the front, because that’s the only thing that differs from an on field guernsey. Then again, if the two options are a jumper that doesn’t provide a proper contrast and one that does but it’s slightly off from the uniform guidelines, I would have to hope the latter is chosen in the home and away season as well.Okay, fair enough. Wouldn't be surprised to see the black Stickman this weekend.I'd love to that black Stickman jumper get a run from the Saints. It's so clean and an actually unique design.
I mentioned I how much I loved Collingwood's black training jumper on TV, I really like the concept of a totally black jumper.
