I am curious as to why Carlton decided to alter its logo from the late 2000s. It was quite aesthetically pleasing.
You mean why they moved away from the more circular one?
Iirc they wore the bigger monogram in 2014 for some sort of anniversary jumper and it was really popular so they went back to it full time the next year.
But Carlton have had quite a few monograms over their history, I think there was a long period where the circular shaped one was their club crest but not the monogram that appeared their jumper?

In the hope that our fortunes would change by bringing that back...

But like justlookingaround said, there was a vote and the fans wanted it back. Nostalgia. Success. Bolder.

The late 2000s logo was so clean and professional. I saw people label it as Australia's equivalent of the NY Yankees and how iconic and recognisable it was.

The logo they currently use and in the 80's and 90's is more New York Yankees than the one used in the 2000's so I dont klnow where that comes from.

New Yorks Logo is bold like the 90's one, not perfectly circular.

Always loved the decadent, regal, complex wreath version of the Carlton’s logo - felt like an emblem. that used the rounded monogram, too.

I think that the round monogram was always their actual emblem, but the angular retro/current one was just as close as they could get with older sewing techniques. The current way they’re using the old jumper monogram is all the wrong way around.

Anyone have any intel if Hawthorn will transition to Under Armour next season or will ISC stay as the apparel sponsor?

just enquiring if anyone has info if under armour branding will phase out ISC from next season onwards

I assume they will, otherwise what’s in the agreement for UA? ISC made Essendon’s jumpers in 2024 (and the seatbelt jumper in 2023), with the UA logo in on the front.

The Essendon UA jumpers were pretty bad with weird fits, so if they still want to move more into the AFL market using ISC templates seems like a good move.

The Essendon Under Armor kits were made by ISC.
