The ARL (without doubt though with a push from the NRL) is going to push the brand of the Kangaroos.

Here is the new logo ripped off from the NRL home page.

That said, I heard it over the radio that Melbourne so far has most tickets sold for the 3 tri-nations tests held in Australia next months.

Thank you for your support Melbourne.

It's about time!!! It's bloody harder to buy Kangaroo merchandise then Greenacre Eagles jerseys :p

I'm really excited about the Tri-Nations... watch out for Great Britian, I've been watching some super league games of late, and their players are in Form!!! Anyone watch the Hull V Bradford game? Put every final series game in the NRL to shame!!! It was awesome!! Hopefully Hull can beat St Helens next weekend:D :thumbsu:

Manly Vs Nukes was better btw. Until the ref lost control of the match.

What makes you think the NRL gives a toss about international Rugby League?

Maybe bcoz there mission is solely related to the elite professional competition in Australasia?
Is there profit in it for News Limited?

I presume the tri-series will all be on Channel 9. (Perhaps it is on Sky in the UK.)

For the same reason they gave a toss about the SOO game in Melbourne, it's a good brand to push for increasing the value of RL in general.

Much like the ARU did with the Wallabies in Perth starting back in 1998.

Increased value in Rugby League sees the value of the NRL increase.

A test match fixture is a brilliant addition to add on top of minor premiers and a SOO fixture. Real cheap too seeing as they don't have to contribute anything other that contra advertisements... and channels 9's "aggressive" push for a 11:45pm timeslot in Melbourne.
