The recruiting side of things seems to be going well to me, I hope we get someone who can manage our contracts as well as SOS. Our salary cap was rooted when he came in, seems like it’s very healthy now after the offer to Coniglio but there is a lot of young talent that will attract offers from other clubs soon. Maybe someone with a background in player management like clubs such as Collingwood have done lately (yeah I know Adelaide did too and they’re a shitshow).

Most people prefer to go forward in their careers, not backwards. He’s been there, done that.

Surely there are other worthy candidates for the job?

I’d much prefer the new appointee to have an intimate knowledge of football and not just oversight skills.
