I've been a member for quite some time and have my seat at SS and everything is great but i was just thinking of those local people that will consider signing up for Skilled Stadium games next season.

what will there chances of getting a seat at SS be??
i could only imagine almost everyone will want to renew their seat. i know i will. there couldn't be too many left. Do you take your chances on general admission and get there really early

Also a query on September Member.
I presume there will be a waiting list to become a september member for next season as the demand will be overwhelming given this year's success. How long will the wait be ?? Are your chances better if you enrol early, say November when the packages come out??

I guess all any new full member can do is apply for reserved seating at SS and hope that some become available. I agree that the Cats will be popular next year but some people give up their seating for other reasons like financial hardship, moving away, or other commitments making it difficult for them to attend. So you can get lucky. So my advice is apply for seating when you submit your membership and see what happens.

I am not sure if you can go on the waiting list in November, I think just keep an eye on the website and emails as to when you can apply. Another otption is the social club. So just keep watching or ring the Club and ask them.

I would suggest that if you are not aready a social club member you may have a tough time getting in.
Last years membership pack had a waiting list for both September Members and the Social Club. However you can get a restricted Social Club Membership but this doesn't guarantee you a GF ticket to see us go back to back. AFL membership is the same also (can go Silver Member but only get to buy GF tickets after all Full AFL Members have had their turn).

How long is the waiting list for a social club membership? 1 year, 5 years?
In 2004 i did not wait at all, in 2006, my mate went on the waiting list in January 2006 and was a full socialclub member in March 2006.

I imagine the list would be a year max! Aplly this year and you'll be a social club member next year at the latest....i think.

There seemed like plenty of single reserved seats scattered around Skilled for last season, they will hopefully be snapped up for the 2008 season, it would be good if they moved some people along in some rows to try and get two seats together.

I'll be there early as usual, in the standing room, i may have to get there very early for some of the bigger clashes at S.S.

i applied for the social club in the summer of 2004 and went straight in... It'd probably be a different story now though... Then again, the Social Club is disproportionately made up of the 70+ crowd, so maybe after all the success of this season, some of them have shuffled off this mortal coil... I think I'm the only bloke under 24 in the social club... Big hello to the social club old timers!!

Any word on the club installing more seating in the standing area for 2008. They might almost be forced to with the increased demand for seating.
But that would decrease the grounds capacity....i think thats why they are holding off putting bucket seats in the Doug Wade stand, to lose 400-500 seats is dramatic, they should do it at the end of next season, when they start redeveloping the Ross Drew/Past Players stands.

Just have it like the old days. Have a couple of rows sitting between the fence and the boudary line and everyone else can just hang off the rafters. We'll get 50,000 there for our first home game and that's only if the weathers bad!!
