Polls board has been a mirror of Bay 13 for to long.

Chism, this board will be cleaned up. Galon will post something soon explaining what we'll be doing, our expectations and what we'll be cracking down on. Since we're both new to this neck of the woods, if you, or anyone else, would like to either post your thoughts or PM us, we'd be most grateful.

In the meantime, please report any post or thread that you think warrants attention and we'll deal it with ASAP.

Excellent news this... I can't think of anyone capable of sorting things out around this board that I'd trust more than the Double-G axis. It certainly has needed sorting out, and I've got plenty of respect for both of them.

You know, about 1% of the population is Jewish, so casually tossing around Nazi comparisons can quickly veer from the bad taste into the deeply offensive.

Does that mean that referring to any genocidal dictator or regime is off limits in general discussion due to the moral objection by a handful of people who were affected merely because they shared a belief or ethnicity to the victims? No Pol Pot? Stalin? The Hutus? Ratko Mladic? Surely you say this in jest, otherwise it's political correctness taken too far!? I've been to Auschwitz and paid my respects, but I think shying away from the lessons history served by making them "taboo" in the humour stakes is ludicrous!

Anyway... what I came on here to say was: You guys wanted some feedback on how to govern this board. I think it certainly needed cleaning up, as it was an extension of Bay 13... but I think perhaps the rules are a little too strict. A little light-hearted banter livens the place up. This board has become somewhat boring. We need a happy medium, so I propose you consider easing the reigns slightly... but obviously it's up to you.

Nah, just gave him something to think about. Never said it was off limits.

As for the 'relaxing' of the board, Galon can probably answer that better than I can, but it needed a good fumigation.

I imagine, however, the Methyl Bromide is starting to clear.

While I understand your point, the problem with the Polls Board was that it had become an extension of Bay 13.
It was widely regarded amongst the Mods that the Polls Board needed a good cleanout, and the rules to be adhered to.
For the first month or so it's been a bit of a learning process for everyone who's ventured on here, but the message seems to have gotten through, slowly.

Banter can be fine, but what tends to happen in a lot of instances is that the little cheap shot or throw away line ends up turning into a squabble about a player, or a draft pick, or whether someone's soft......and as seen on the Main board, it just becomes a mess.

Though, It's still early days.
