New music discussion 2025

going to be hard to go past messa - the spin as my album of the year, by amount of replays. my only points against are some lyrical awkwardness (i put it down to maybe english as 2nd language) and the album is on the short side - you want more. they're a metal band but it's the kind of album you should put in the ears of someone who says rock is dead.
technically cheating a little bit as there's lots of voice track doubling. but, they know to hold back on the voice and let themselves write a song rather than filling any available space with vocal talent (looking at you, royal thunder)

the album came out in January and it’s still one of my favourites for the year….it’s going to be one hell of a show.

Has been a fairly good year overall.

There's been 3-4 albums that I've been playing regularly.
