I believe I brought up that theory last night in the preseason thread.

One of them will have to let go on the number 5. Because they can both wear it for us in the future

I stand by my call. This is the only way Ayce and Jett will wear their old mans number

Yeah most likely, that's assuming either are any good or end up interested in an AFL career.

Rhyce is terrible. We got rid of him because he was crap. He found a role in the backline at the swans skulking off half back, it doesn't take much to do that. Look at Armstrong for us.
Heath on the other hand could play one and one and beat his opponent hands down.

We got rid of Rhyce because Of the drink driving incident with Didak and the fact he actually requested a trade.
He was a vastly superior player by the time he was traded to the Swans than he was at the start of his career.

Elliott, now one of the most recognisable faces on the Collingwood landscape, says the inspiration behind his new number came from a chance conversation with his old captain.
I was at Marty Clarke’s engagement party,
I was having a chat to Maxy and said that I wanted the number five. I had actually thought about it and I did want it.
He messaged me the next day and said ‘were you serious about wanting the No. 5', and I said 'you're going to have to let me think about it'.
It’s a big number and it’s a huge privilege to get it.
