This has to be some kind of sick joke, surely?!

With all due respect to Shaw -- I have not seen him play in the red and white and will reserve judgement until then -- I would have rather seen a Daniel Currie get #2, at least he has been at the club a while and they obviously have wraps on him, rather than give it to a player who may not even be in our best 22!

Can't help wondering if this is the club's way of making a statement, given that Shaw apparently was known at Collingwood for his work ethic on the training track according to the 'Pies supporters that posted on here when we picked him up. Heh.

I guess the number 2 guernsey is set aside for a player we recruited from Collingwood.

Zero difference between 10 and 2, i really dont get your point ?

In fact, one is a proven AFL player, the other is a 'hopefuly' up and coming good/outstanding ruckman without any AFL experience.

Kind of adds insult to injury given I thought he was stiff to get delisted and his number goes to a less talented player who isn't much younger himself!

Though now I've had a whinge I think I'll just get over it. Roos has an uncanny knack of being proven right over these things. I thought the club made a mistake in getting rid of Schneider last year, while he is still a good player it looks like the correct call was made. Perhaps it will be the same with Davo.
