New rade rumor - Clint Bizzell to Brisbane for Luke Power and Des Headlands

I'm not at liberty to divuldge my source, but i am told that Mark Thompson and Brian Cook sacked Bizzel last night and that Brisbane have agreed to swap Luke Power and Des Headlands in exchange for the Biz. I hope this deal works out, as Bizzel has been terrible in the 2nd half of the year, and really is an overrated player ! Go Cats 2001 !

Desy asked Brissy to trade him back to Western Australia.....he's a west aussie boy at heart and doubt he would agree to a trade which has him at Geelong. The only reason he left WA is because of the draft and he had no choice and he was pretty pissed off about having to go over East too!!!! I doubt he will ever play his best footy until he returns home.....where he belongs!

If Brisbane do that thy're idiots. Granted Headlands had a shit season, but Luke Power is worth 10 Bizzel's any day. The only thing he did all season was nearly get that torp from 75m against the Kangaroos. If he'd got that then maybe he'd be worth something.

A far more likely scenario is
Des Headland to West Coast
Fraser Gehrig to Collingwood
Mal Michael to Brisbane
A few draft picks will be thrown in there as well.
The Lions may be able to get one draft pick as well from West Coast for Headland, a promising player who had a quite good ending to the season including playing in two finals. I would think that Collingwood would trade one early draft pick to pick up the services of Gehrig. IF it goes ahead, this trade could be a win/win/win situation for all parties.

If the player is out of contract you have less negotiating power as he can nominate for the draft.
