Okay...

I've just been totally warned off PAYCHECK starring the ever popular BEN AFFLECK with a high calibre B-Listing of (if you could...) call them actors...

It's a wet day here in Griff-Vegas, I'm looking to hire a few DVD's; What TURKEYS should I avoid...? (Please include breif reasoning...)

Cheers!

Radio Shark...

Surely the name Ben Affleck on the credits should be enough to tell you that it will probably be ordinary,

Stay away from Gangs Of New York. Any attraction it may have had must surely have been because it was on the big screen as the story shat me to tears. Too long, too slow and too much attention required to follow stupid accents.

Didn't mind paycheck to tell the truth. Not so much a new release, but I watched Legally Blonde 2 the other day and am still wondering how I sat thru the whole thing. Close to the worst movie i've ever seen.

They should have a new movie rating system.

G - For General Exhibition

PG - Parental Guidance Recommended

M 15+ - Mature

MA 15+ - Mature Audiences Only

R 18+ - Restriced

BA - Ben Affleck

Was very disappointed in that film, after watching and liking the first one I was really looking forward to the 2nd one, until I watched it.
I haven't seen the second one yet, read the cover and thought I wouldn't ruin what I had with the first starship troopers...
I thank you for your warnings :)

Fight Club........Great!

Gangs of New York.........Rubbish! In fact almost anything with 'sissy boy' should be avoided.

Ben Affleck? Rounders, Good Will Hunting and Dogma were all great movies. Not all the movies he's starred in are bad.

I just hope the next and last Star Wars movie doesn't turn out to be disapp... oh, I won't be surprised at all considering what Lucas did with the previous two.

His role in them is bad though. Lets face it, Damon carries him all the way in those.

Ergo, films that go out of their way to point out that Ben Affleck is in the film (indicating that he is one of the better actors) are giving off a bit of a beacon there.

I thought that was Matt Damon in Rounders not Ben Affleck?

I dont mind some of his movies. I like Changing Lanes, i like Mallrats, I liked Dogma (pretty much the Kevin Smith series all had him in it and i liked all of em). Daredevil was alright too.

Not many people own up to liking Mallrats.
