Usual trade tactics. I don't see much in it. Fuelled by the GWS-Richmond relationship no doubt but nothing that would indicate a rivalry. Surely they will be one of the teams to beat in the near future but I have to see the day where I am dreading to cop it from GWS fans. All 5 of them.

Wasn't that because Dave Matthews the Giants CEO has family at Richmond and they tried there best to work together to get Treloar to Richmond when he was looking to head back Home?

Brisbane were one team I'm happy we got on top off and we they lost the likes of Voss Aker Leppo Micheal I was so happy to finally see them decline.

Geeking are a huge new rival we have decent battles with them and I always look forward to the Pies Cats games at the G now.

Collingwood is a club that has been built on the back of strong and bitter rivalries, and yet another rival has bitten the dust ...

And for the benefit of our venerable fans born before around 1950, Melbourne ...

As many folks here have been lobbying for a while now, it is now time for a full scale rebuild at Collingwood: rebuilding our rivalries.

Our rival over recent years has been Geelong really, and we should soon be able to add Richmond & Footscray to that list.

Yep. Huge call, at the start of 2015 I touted them as top 4. Having watched them last season I just don't see where there improvement will come from. Too many down hill skiers, not much heart.

Unless their best 6 all have AA type years I can't see them doing too much damage. Like Rance I think they are very over rated.

Now now, not so salty... I do share your sentiment on their list improvement that mainly landed them Yarran and maybe Rioli as X factor. They got a reasonable fixture so the top 8 would be within their reach like it has been the past 3 seasons with roughly the same list. I don't see them going much further for reasons you mentioned.

I really hope you're wrong. Can't stand these up and about Richmond supporters. They make our most rabid look like fluffy white bunnies.

Having said that I can really see a sharp decline.... Their best player is still delidio (don't get me wrong, he is a fine player but not the guy you'd want as the best in your team)... For that reason alone I can't see them winning more games 11 games.

Our rivalry with Geelong since '07 has been cracking. Their prelim win, us smashing them the next year, 2010 redemption and the unforgettable GF loss in 2011. We've shared a lot with the Cats recently..
