You surprised? You're a good barometer of horseshit takeover-by-graduations.They’re wearing it today... in a home game... with black shorts. Huh.

It will be an 'away' jumper, worn at Moorabbin, then most Sandy games'll be at Moorabbin. Eh, can't afford two batches of jumpers, can't produce jumpers that only get worn three times a year, just wear the Saints one all the time. Inevitably they'll barely play in Sandringham and then just become the Sandringham Saints, Moorabbin Zebras, Moorabbin Saints.
It's pretty sad tbh, these clubs should just form a breakaway VFA or something and invite a few dominant local clubs in.
And doom the SANFL/WAFL?Or even better, revert the VFL to a bunch of standalone teams (along with the other state leagues) and introduce an AFL D-League/AFL Reserves competition featuring every team. Play the matches before the seniors (11:30 Ressies, 2:10 Seniors for example)
And doom the SANFL/WAFL?
It'll doom the state leagues to being a third tier of football... Less exposure and probably less interest. Not sure how doomed the SANFL/WAFL would be given there's only one standalone AFL team in each and their player supply wouldn't be overly stretched (especially compared to now), it's the VFL that would be in the most trouble. About half the teams would be leaving, and the others that are remaining would be either stretched for players or get little to no exposure and sponsorship money
There won't be a VFL, the merged/taken over clubs (Box Hill, Casey and Northern) would probably be wound up and the stand alone sides would either die off or go to into local or amateur competitions. Not sure how doomed the SANFL/WAFL would be given there's only one standalone AFL team in each and their player supply wouldn't be overly stretched (especially compared to now), it's the VFL that would be in the most trouble.
