The shock announcement follows a season of turmoil, with the popular full back often played out of position by the club's rookie coach.

Darkness Eternal CEO Rumour
Amid the shock resignation of Tiger Tank from the Titan F.C., and the announcement of a possible franchise license for Darkness Eternal to enter the Sweet Football Association, the rumours of others joiniing the break-away club are gaining momentum.
In the search for a possible CEO, new Titan F.C. signing 'The Hitman' has been touted as a shock resignation, due to a clause in his contract which stipulates if a new franchise is established, he can leave for that club.
He is a known leader and organizer, captain of the fantasy cricket side 'The Calypso Kings', and is also a shrewd and aggressive recruiter and negotiator.
When asked if this post was a possibility, Hitter said "Look, anything is a possibility these days with my contract stips and the open market. Obviously I will assess the situation and make a decision that best suits me."
Another advantage that 'The Hitman' could bring to Darkness Eternal is he is a Hawthorn supporter, who personally knows many of the Bigfooty Hawthorn posters. This could mean an automatic 10 players, as well as that he is on 'friendly terms' with many other posters, who are either unsigned, or disgruntled at their current club.

As Fantasy Football League rumour and innuendo increased this week, former Titan stopper TigerTank was seen wearing a black suit with black shirt and black tie, prompting further speculation about links to shadowy new club candidate Darkness Eternal.
When the Herald Pun holed up the ex-Titan, the key defender quickly put on shady-looking sunglasses and said in an unconvincing Barcelona accent: "I know nutheeng".
Mr Tank was also seen in heated negotiations with former teammate CJH and an unknown individual who looked not disimilar to a Hitman - the trio looking like b-grade actors from a hollywood mafia movie.

Rumours of player poaching by the mysterious new franchise 'Darkness Eternal' heightened this afternoon. Young gun and potential Number 1 Draft pick Chris_23 has supposedly been in contact with the mystery men. Chris_23 is touted as a future champion full forward who would fit beautifully into the Darkness line up.
With news that key position defender Tiger Tank, and brilliant midfielder The Hitman are close to signing, Chris_23 could be the missing piece to the puzzle. When asked if he had been in contact with 'Darkness Eternal' Chris_23 replied: "I just want to play football"
One thing is for certain, 'Darkness Eternal' are leaving no stone un-turned in there quest for a premiership.

New Merchandise points to Dark new franchise

As a hint to what may eventuate in the biggest FFL news of the year, strange new uniforms are appearing in FFL licenced stores.
In the darkest corners of the darkest FFL stores, new guernsays, shorts and socks have appeared, giving new strength to rumours that Darkness Eternal could be the next franchise to join the league.
It would appear that the home guernsey of the new entity will be a black jersey with black sash and black numbers, black shorts, and black and black hooped socks.
The away jersey appears to be black and black stripes , and the now familiar black and black hooped socks. When playing away the new club will wear black shorts and will be identified by their black numbers.
Further rumours suggest that the club's logo will be the Shadows, and that the club will be lobbying strongly for as many night games as possible. The club is also rumoured to be keen on recruiting Darky from the Ducks.
When rumoured Vice Captain TigerTank was quizzed on the issue, he said with a over-dramatic flourish "We shall bring forth a new Dark Age. The world will tremble at our feet!" This was followed by someone playing a series of really spooky minor chords on a cathedral organ.
Mr Tank then spun around with an ostentious swirl before tripping embarrassingly over his unnecessarily long black cape.

Promising recruit GOALden Hawk has shocked the Fantasy Football world by becoming the latest recruit vowing to stand out of the upcoming Sweet FA draft in a bid to be picked up by the mysterious new franchise Darkness Eternal.
The establishment of the club, rumoured to be nicknamed The Shadows, has rocked the Bigfooty community and left organisers struggling to come up with enforceable transfer rules. Other clubs, in particular The Titans are dismayed that the draft will be severely weakened with the Shadows taking the cream of the crop. It is also rumoured several big stars of existing clubs are looking to move to the 'Dark Side'
When questioned about a possible move to sign with any new franchise before the draft, GOALden Hawk was quoted as saying 'I cannot comment on anything at this stage as my player manager Richard 'I am not a crook' Nixon is still trying to determine the legalities of such a move. But needless to say I'm very interested in joining an entity now and bypassing the lottery of the draft, as well as ensuring I will be playing Fantasy Footy next year.
The new franchise will apparently officially announce their entry into the league in coming weeks.

In a controversial move, both Titans have agreed to leave their current side for the mysterious new club, and PiesPremiers looks set for a leadership role.
Hitter and PP already have links, being captain and vice-captain at the new fantasy cricket league team 'The Calypso Kings', so this move may come as no surprise to those close to the two men.
When cornered, PP was asked whether or not he had made the switch to which he replied "No comment...although I have always fancied myself in black." before speeding of in his brand new black Ferrari, which is rumoured to have been payed for by the new club.
It looks as if The Hitman's influence hasn't stopped there, as he sets his sights on disgruntled Titan Mantis, who has been labelled a "bootstudder" by several parties.
With a 100% strike rate in recruiting so far, it looks ominous that the new clubwill have a power-packed line up to play with, and will be a force to be reckoned with.
When asked if Mags or QT could sway her back to the Titans, the gorgeous *miss_magpie* stated "Look, I have been brought over to the dark side, and although I respect Mags, if he tries to bring me back I'll just beat him up!"

Darkness Eternal CEO, The Hitman, today denied reports that Chris_23 is chucking a hissy fit over perhaps being overlooked for a leadership role.
The volatile, yet brilliant big man's manager this morning stated to the press "Look, I think Mr 23 is a born leader, he had high hopes of a leadership role and he's insulted that he hasn't even got a mention" , and was suggesting that everything may not be as smooth as it looks.
The Hitman released a black press release, with black writing, in which we had to use infra-red lasers to read the following statement:

For many of the citizens at bigfooty.com, it is becoming increasingly obvious that Darkness Eternal is all talk. Currently at max, they only have about a quarter of the number of players they need. It's obvious, that they are just trying to fill some places. How can you call players quality, if they are the ones that are being rejected by opposition clubs and the misfits from last season. YOU CAN'T.
We all know these guys will be fighting to win a game next year. It'll be the more experienced sides, who know what to do when they get on the park, that will take out the flag. Personally I think it'll be tough between the pump and the dragons. By the start of the season Darkness may have found enough people of the streets and living in the dumps to be able to stand in their possitions, but if you're telling me that the side will be able to have any skills you're dreaming and next year will be a very long one for you I'm sorry.

It's obvious, that they are just trying to fill some places. How can you call players quality, if they are the ones that are being rejected by opposition clubs and the misfits from last season. YOU CAN'T.
We all know these guys will be fighting to win a game next year. It'll be the more experienced sides, who know what to do when they get on the park, that will take out the flag. Personally I think it'll be tough between the pump and the dragons. By the start of the season Darkness may have found enough people of the streets and living in the dumps to be able to stand in their possitions, but if you're telling me that the side will be able to have any skills you're dreaming and next year will be a very long one for you I'm sorry.

In a scathing attack of the new expansion team, Darkness Eternal, Joshhem unleashed scorn on the recriting talents of CEO, The Hitman, and basically the club on a whole.
Well, I have the inside word, and I can tell you that Joshhem is just merely speculating.
Thanks to my whipping skills, I have 'got down and dirty' with The Hitman and his 'men in black', and having got information leaked to me, I can inform you, the Sweet FA public, that Darkness Eternal is not to be taken lightly.
Their massive recruitment drive has brought many people who were on the list of Titan F.C. and were being kept on, coming to the dark side.
Leadership is something which is very strong at Darkness Eternal, and is an attribute which cannot be underrated. Anybody who claims that this new side is a 'paper tiger', take heed; they are going to be a force to be reckoned with, and they have more players then anybody imagines.

New Team Attracts Overseas Interest
The latest in a ever increasing list of big names hoping to sign with the mysterious "Dark Side" is the all-star overseas duo of Stucey and Hawkfan5.
These 2 players single handedly led their side the 'New York Hawks' to the AAFL premiership (American Aussie Footbal League).
Stucey who plays in the forward line is likened to a Johhny Barker/Tarrantish player and averaged 27.4 possesions and 5.3 goals per game. He has an awesome marking ability and had 4 out of the top 10 marks of the year in the AAFL, including the No.1 mark. He also won the 'Coldman' medal in 2001, kicking 133 goals. He has awesome pace and would be a great pickup for any team next year.
Hawkfan5 was the 'Greenlow Medallist' in the AAFL in 2001, playing as a midfielder he averaged 36.8 possessions per game and also booted 48 goals for the season. He has an uncanny instinct when it comes to finding the ball and can run 9.95 over 100m, but was also top 3 in the endurance trials during pre-season training.
Hitman would be wise to snap these two up while they are interested in this new club and before they start talking to the other clubs.

Trio Join Darkness Eternal Bandwagon

Jod23 Speaks Out
Star midfielder for Team Pump, Jod23, has finally spoken out about the rumors of a new club this weekend. Its reported that he had an exclusive chat with some of the players hoping to make the move to Darkness Eternal.
He had this to say earlier "Ive had a chat to a couple of the players leaning towards signing with the new club and i hear it is all a prank" He went on to say "Look we all know its just a publicity stunt, it gains nothing for the players involved, the league or the state of the game".
When pushed further he also added "Not to name names but the leader of this so called breakaway team is not thinking clearly, he has the opportunity to join some quality teams with history but if he passes that opportunity up and this new team does come to pass then i think we could see a new woodenspooner of the FFL"
Jod23 was also asked on whether they had approached the gun midfielder. "They have contacted my agent but i am loyal to Team Pump, were doing some good things at Pump and i believe were not to far away from success" When asked details about the phone call to his agent he had this to say. "It was something about 10 million for one year, they apparently pleaded for my services but i am loyal and i think this interview is over"
So a day filled with controversy in the FFL, we have yet to hear any comments from players involved with Eternal Darkness and they have neither confirmed or denied the rumors. This leads to speculation that everything Jod23 has said has some truth to it.

"All these people who are saying that we are phoneys, or have not assembled a team, are just in denial of the darkness." He continued "I can assure you we have not gone for Jod, or anybody else from the Wonders, so that is just utter crap."
When asked if the club will be revealed soon, Hitter replied "We have a 'hitlist' of a few more players to get, and seeming we have got every player we have gone after so far, I am confident that will be achieved very soon. We have some plans to draw up and such, so obviously they have to be done, and then the list and contracts need to be sent to Mobbers for final approval. Then we will launch our club."

New Titan calls for Loyalty.........
New Star midefielder for the Titans Top Dog, has come out urging for loyalty amongst his new team mates. With the breakaway teams starting to make their moves on some Titan players, Top Dog has expressed loyalty and devotion to the Titans and he hopes more will follow in his foot steps and be a part of the Titan Culture.
Top Dog has been very impressed with the attitude and commitment of QT and Mags "It's been great working with them, there just so commited and dedicated. Im just very delighted to be a part of what is going to be a great side"
Also Top Dog said that speaking to Nick the Pie Man was another motivating factor in his move out Titan way, "He was oozing commitment and dedication to the Titans and should be part of the leadership team, Its not up to me but I think NTPM would be a great leader"
