Hey all, ive finally made the move to the lively city of Melbourne!
Looking forward to being able to watch the Crows nearly every second week!
Hope to see some of you at the games soon!
Cheers
Jason

Why anyone would want to move to that shthole is beyond me. Unless of course it's because of a high paying job. Other than that .... :o

Your location says WA

Oh dear, you sound just as daft as the fools on BF who say the same thing about Adelaide. What's the matter; you couldn't find West End Draught on tap over here?

Would love to stay and chat but I'm packing my bags for Beirut at once. Thankyou for pointing out the folly of my ways.

Hi Jason, welcome to Melb and I hope that you enjoy living here.

If you're planning to go to all Crows games in Vic then I'd recommend taking out Victorian membership with the club. It's around $140 this year, including entry into the 7 games in Vic, club magazine, yearbook and all the usual membership paraphernalia.

When the Crows aren't playing in Vic, Bell's Hotel in South Melbourne is where a lot of the club's supporters go to watch the games.

Cheers,
TR

Melbourne is awwsome. You'll enjoy it here. We've got the tennis, Grand Prix, Football captial, also Rugby, etc.. Best Sporting city in the world.

Welcome to Melbourne and you will love it here, the airport also ********s all over Adelaide and you will be able to find plenety of work here also, only one thing good about Adelaide and that is the Crows and AAMI Stadium.

Melbourne is a good place...lots of stuff to do etc etc

Only bad things are no good pubs in the CBD and why the feck is the CBD so hilly?

quality stuff old son :thumbsu:

I remember my first hook turn...

haha same here.

I love Melbourne and have many friends there. Haven't visited for a while though. Used to go twice a year including every NYE for about 8 years strait.

Make sure you check the Gorilla's at the Zoo. I saw them on my last visit in 2006 for the F1 and Round 1 Collingwood - Mon night game.

The RMH (Royal Melbourne Hotel) is nice for a drink and a meal. Coopers on Tap and many others. Right near the Telstra Dome too. :D

Have fun in the big city. :thumbsu:

Melbourne Bar and Bistro is where it's at. The food is crap but it's all you can eat but it's the kind of crap that you end up finding endearing. Also, nearly every time I have been there (often) it's somehow been Happy Hour. By the time I get to the footy or cricket or wherever I'm off to I end up blind because Happy Hour goes for so long.

I haven't seen the first half of an Adelaide vs. Collingwood game for a couple of years coz it's tradition that me and my mates go to the Bar and Bistro before that match-up and we end up going a little (or way) overboard. I usually sober up by half time because the drinks are more expensive (and therefore more infrequent) at the footy.

ha ha

I usually can't remember leaving. We got some beer once and no one was at the check out so we walked out with 4 pints each. Once I was that pissed in the second half that the only time I would cheer is when the crowd would cheer. I couldn't even focus on the game. It was a Kangaroos game at the TD few years ago. An awsome come back when we piled on 20 goals in a row. Well that's what it felt like.

Why go to the zoo to see the Golrillas when you could just see them in their natural habitat, The Collingwood cheer squad?
