Call me crazy, but I think McLean will get the nod if he gets in a solid pre-season. For my money, he's displayed better leadership qualities than Bryce or Murph (albeit at another club, but thats never stopped us before )

It's a dumb comment chain reaction.

How do we know he hasn't won the respect of the group yet? From what we've heard from training reports he shows good leadership and seems well liked.

Maybe just say he hasn't been there long enough.

My vote goes to Simpson.

We could do worse than to offer Brock the VC if Gibbs and Murph arent keen just yet.

We could be the first club to have both its Captain and VC be appointed into those positions prior to even playing for us.

Yeah Chris had a bad year in front of the sticks but has a few more leadership skills to his bow than Simmo wouldn't you think. Chris will do me...

I personally would give combined Vice to Thornton and Waite... with Waite permanent as a forward...

This would give us set leader in each part of the group... Judd for the mids... Thornton for the D and Waite for the forwards... I believe Thornton already shows great leadership down back... and to give him the honorary name would be saying thanks to a guy that I believe has been a tremendous servant of the club...

Waite has been one of our best players for a long time... and will highlight the evolution of our new forward line...

I rate Murphy as a respected leader similarly to Simmo - But facts are he misses quite regularly when he shouldn'tand at times when it matters. Murph nails them when it matters so I have him in front of Simmo, I wouldn't think thats so stupid for FFS. It might be time to stop drinking that dirty water.

Could easily see it going to one of Kruezer, Gibbs or Murphy (fair case for each) - I'd probably choose Gibbs. Waite needs to focus on rehab, Simpson, while achieving some personal highs this last season, still has to become consistent.
