Open your eyes then.

you are honestly more excited about those two?
knowing that when we picked up murph, gibbs & kreuzer our side was woeful and they helped turn that around.
dont get me wrong i love hendo and lucas but the acquisition of the three number 1's meant we were no longer failing as bad as what we had

You've got to be shitting me. I'm personally way more excited with Lucas and Hendo than 3 and 4. They were No 1's and expected to perform, these 2 gifts from heaven could be anything and we have absolutely no right to even have them on our list.
Agree.. Murphy and Gibbs are great players but its fairly easy to pick the best when you have the No.1 picks.

But to get Hendo and Lucas, 2 young guns, at the last minute in the trade period for a 28 yo loose cannon is well.... unexpected which makes it more satisfying.:)

Thank f@%k the Bradshaw and Riskytelli deal fell through.

I'm worried about him.

I hope Sheeds picks him and saves him from himself.

I don't know the guy but his actions are crying out for help. I seriously hope he gets it from somewhere.

I'm over the "he needs help" bulltish. Some people are too stupid to be helped or, they know exactly what they are doing and just dont care and dont deserve help.

The guy is a tool and the best way to "help" him would be to sack him and ignore him. He will soon run out of money and then have to get a job like everybody else.

Where in either post did I say that. They are right up there though with the guys you mentioned as well as Yarran and Kreuzer as the most exciting talents that have come to the club in the last ten years.

I didn't think it would take that much explaining

If this were true then based on his actions he has been crying out for help for the past 10 years.

There has been no shortage of people trying to help him and giving him 2nd, 3rd chances.... He even admitted that it was his fault Carlton had to let him go, and that the move to Brisbane was a wake up call and he needed to change. Typical Fev, says all the right things but no action.

FFS he is 29 - at some point in his life he needs to grow up and help himself.

Thats your call - How would you feel if he got that far down the track he attempted suicide.

Yep he's stupid, and put him self in this position and deserves it yep, but I'm still worried about him.

I wouldn't call it obsession.

We're all just laughing at the fact that Brisbane were stupid enough to take him off our hands.

Thanks for that :thumbsu:

Pretty hard to ignore when he;s making headlines nation wide, great endorsement for the Lions brand don;t you think.....2011 has started well for crazy vossy...:o

Fevola on leave after NYE arrest
In a statement this afternoon, the Brisbane Lions said Fevola had request indefinite leave "in order to receive professional assistance for a number of personal issues".

"The request for leave was made by Fevola following an incident in the early hours of this morning where he was arrested and charged with public nuisance and obstructing police in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley," the statement says.

"Fevola was released from police custody at around 11am and immediately sought leave from the Lions to receive professional assistance.

"As a result, Fevola will not be at training this Monday when the team resumes its preparations for the 2011 AFL Season.

"While the Brisbane Lions AFC places the well being of all its staff as a primary focus, the club will hold talks next week regarding what action may be required as a direct result of this morning’s incident.

Sounds like Fev's having a great time up there. He can basically do what he wants and the Lions will still have to pay him 800k per year. The Lions tried to sack him before, and it blew up in their faces when they got just a little too eager and starting bending the truth about an incident. Basically, if they want to sack Fev now, they'll have to pay him out in full. Don't think he'd be that disappointed if they paid him out and he got to go back to Melbourne. His manager did an awesome job negotiating that deal.

:)

The guy is a tool

This is exactly what Brendan isnt.

He is actually a really nice guy, has always been one to put up his hand to do charity work and to do work outside those that he is obliged to.

I have seen countless acts of great things that Fev does (that dont get metioned).

Yes he was a cancer at this club, but that doesnt make him a bad person he just doesnt think.

The bloke has an IQ of a napkin, and doesnt do things because he is a tool or a nasty bloke he just doesnt think.
