Perth Cup goes mad on New Years Day and is the best way to start off the year.

Tentland would have to have one of the highest concentrations of high quality, scantilly clad, young fillies getting about... in the world!!!

And the tunes that crank from the different tents after the last race are unbelievable.

We could've had a spot in a tent with beer flowing for $130 but apparantely it's a pain cos you can't wander too much if you want to keep drinking.

I couldn't be arsed going to the pub for New Years. Too crowded, too expensive. Plenty of other nights to go instead - make up a new calender or something - and in any case I can't stay up too late past midnight because I'm going home to Sydney on Wednesday and I'll need some sleep before I go so I don't fall asleep behind the wheel.

I LOOOOOOOOOVE NYE. It's a fun night and everyone's in a good mood. The only down side is if it's cold and you can't get a cab. Hopefully tomorrow night stays warm enough, and I can walk home. I'll be very very happy to see the end of this year, as so much of it was absolute crap. But there were some pretty amazing things that happened that I'll take with me into 2003 and beyond. And on New Years Day I can say "I'm getting married next year!!!!".

As for where, Revolver, Viper Room....Revolver, Viper Room, Revolver, Viper Room. I can't decide yet.

Looking to finish off an overall sh*t year with a bit of fun with the lads. So bad has this year been that the best part of it was Collingwood losing the Grand Final. Seriously though, people are stupid to go out and spend up big, you pay twice as much for drinks, 5 times as much for entry and 10 times as much for food.
What's the different between Jan 1, Jan 2, Jan 3, March 18th, July 28th or Sept 16th?
Pick a night out on the town when you can all get cabs home,all you friends are free and drinks, food and entry are all cheaper, otherwise you're mad.
Great night out for some of the sadder people who get smashed, but hey, even these losers need a night out and if it benefits the economy because they're so ******ed to pay the ridiculous prices, then so be it.
